I worked with Happy (Harry) Hammond in the 70's and he was exactly like this off screen, a gentleman who could always make us smile, simply by being around.
At that age I wasn't allowed to drink Coke, since it had caffeine in it, which was presumed to be bad for children. But actually I hated it anyway, so there wasn't any chance of me drinking it secretly.
OHHH MY Goodness ... What memories this brings back ... I was with Happy Hammond Princess Pand a Vic "Funny Face" Gordon and the Gang back Home in Oz in '62 !!! Always stayed with me LOVED them ALL ...
I was one of the scared little boys. I was 7 years old. Have more gut's than you. I pissed my pants on TV that day, (only 7 years old). What did you do in 1967?
You see what i mean back then a singer had to sell themselves on tv shows like this one and make a name, you wonder Olivia so young asking herself is this what i want for the rest of my life she must have asked that i can only imagine what someone who decided not to go to college pursure a singing career meant to do to find a job man boy was this adilly for Livvy.
This is a reminder of just how little it took to hold the attention of audiences (of any age) back in the 60s. Can you imagine a TV program nowadays showing a solid five minute block of nothing but kids drinking Coke while a skating rink organ plays "Happy Days Are Here Again" in the background?
Actually, this show was from January 1965, Sir Winston having died on the 24th of that month (unless of course, airmail was slow back then).
As for Olivia...I'm sure a lot of dads and uncles and big brothers watching the show with the kids honestly loved her and were hopelessly devoted to her then. You can tell that Big John standing next to her wishes he could get physical with her!
It reminds you back then in different countries they all had tv shows and many chances for singers who wanted to be famous to be seen through this simple kind of tv shows. Also in Mexico ,many wannabes who wanted to be very famous sang through many tv shows aslo to get their name known out there.Heck today not to many chances for many to expose their talents,Livvy was so lucky to be in so many shows.Wish i had that chance when i was singing at saloon bars to get my break.
Geez all those little kids are at least 50 now. I wonder how many are dead?

I was always a huge fan of Vic's - got an enormous amount of his TV work, mostly "Matlock Police", "Young Ramsay", and so on...

intersting there is no credits at the end

No on-screen credits, but they're done via the voice-over, which was fairly common back then...
