Thanks for the upload & I get the "original" v mix. I first heard Maria Muldaur's version & it's the one I like best. I love Randy Crawford but this one is a little too "orchestral". IMO woulda been better with Joe Sample and a few others.

This is a great tune, and Randy does it up right, but this is not the "original" by far....

It was originally written & recorded by JJ Cale, then done a long time ago by HERBIE MANN, on flute, featuring Whitney Houston's mom, Cissy, on the lead vocals. Then I think Randy did an earlier version than this on one of her own albums...

They're all good, and that Herbie Mann one is definitely well worth checking out!
