I always loved the feel of this song. It was originally going to be a song named "Nora" performed by Al and Ogre from Skinny Puppy. The band never formed due to...cough...drug addictions...cough... But, The Fall came out utterly beautiful in a lost hope kinda way.
@Tommythecat01 Yeah, Twitch and The Land of Rape and Honey. The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste is high in the charts as well. After that, their music went downhill.
@doctorwhonico Hm yes but they all got their charm just up too the more metal orientated albums. I mean those without the industrial streak. Al just didn't seem to be interest anymore with what he was performing. All that G Bush stuff, looks like a lion from the savannah caught in a circus cage for years with this dead faded look in his eyes. Well more than here anyways :-)
I'd say Skinny Puppy are the Gods of industrial, being as they revolutionized the whole sampling techniques by creating their own samples, and taking snips from horror movies, tv shows, the news, etc. it's too bad MInistry hung it up for good. Al said his liver couldn't handle it anymore. lol, i saw them back in 99 and it was bad ass. they even played So What. oh well, Al did promise one more Lard album though. can't wait for that!
i agree, whole heartedly. same with Skinny Puppy; fake blood everywhere! they used to tour together, so you can imagine how interesting those shows were!
@keymaster2 I saw them (ministry) in 1990 and in 2006ish and the shows were both fuking spectacular, one of the few who kept the live quality after all those yrs
that's what I heard. They're supposed to make 1 more album. Jello has another project just released called Jello Biafra and The Guantanamo School of Medicine. Check it out. Sounds like Resurrected DK.

Once I listened to this song during a boring lesson at school, with my eyes closed.
It was strange, because when I opened my eyes, I started hallicunating.
Anyways, ALL HAIL MINISTRY.

Ministrys the fucking god of industrial. They need to lay off the drugs a little, or it'll kill em one day.
I'm all for drug legalization though. Their shows look pretty amazing.

to me, killing joke were really the start of industrial.
Ministry are a fantastic band, they took it to another level.
both incredeible, both still relevent.
adamfinspain 2 years ago
i'd say Killing Joke more or less started industrial rock.
