Now, "Heights" isn't the newest material. Ironically enough, Alexia sings about a good octave higher on their latest album. New screamer too. It's quite different, you might like it a lot. "Broken Flames" and "All You Ever Knew" are two good songs off of it.
As for Lindsey, she has a band called The Attraction in which she does sing better. They're really poppy though. But, you still might like it.

Well, I hate nasal singers, and you have to take it into account that Alexia has to sing while playing lead guitar. Also, I prefer the songs off their latest album, "Broken Frames." I also heard Alexia first, which created some sense of normalcy for me when it comes to her. So naturally I'd prefer Alexia.
The reason why I listen to ESTK is because of the songs Lindsey wrote. I didn't even know that she was the one who wrote them until now. And it makes me sad that she's gone. I always thought Alexia was the one writing the lyrics, I mean now she is the one but the lyrics that Lindsey wrote aare just far off better. Man, I wish Lindsey didn't leave. ESTK was really awesome when she was in it. :(( And now Brandon's gone too. I wonder what ESTK will be...

believe it or not, i talked to her through myspace, and she told me that she left on her own, because she didn't agree with the management, whatever that meant. i do not think, though, that she is still friends with the band, as she isn't on their friends list. also, the band NEVER makes mention of her, even though SHE wrote all of the songs, and the band gives some b.s. story behind each song. that's sad.

yeah, and a fun fact: at 1:44 on the album version of "Liar In The Glass," you can hear lindsey's vocals echoing "dance into the night" as the band never re-did the music for the track, they just deleted lindseys vocals, and alexia sang over it. i would love to actually meet lindsey. i get a comment from her every now and then on myspace, usually a thank-you or something.
i just figured out the same myself. i noticed that the liar in the glass video was different from my album version so i googled. after i found out lindsey was the official singer, i looked on ESTK site, and nothing about lindsey at all. lindsey is just the best and should be credited more for her songs@
Lindsey got screwed when she left ESTK. She didn't want them to use her songs but since they were copyrighted to the band she couldn't redeem her rights... even though the lyrics were hers.

@pcor111090 You've got it backwards. Lindsey wrote all the songs for ESTK before The World Outside. She even recorded the Reach album but when she left, vocals were re-recorded with Alexia. They still used Lindsey's vocals for backup. If you want proof, there's a version of "Only Holding On" (which was posted as "Our Hearts" on their myspace) floating around with Lindsey's vocal. There's a version of "Darling" also but I don't have it anymore.
@pcor111090 If you want further proof, check out Lindsey's old myspace. If I remember correctly, the blog should have record of her songwriting. When she was in high school she used the blog to post her poetry. The poems were rough lyrics for songs like "Beauty Through Broken Glass." In short, the poems were a pre-cursor to all the awesome ESTK songs. They were posted months before the actual songs were released. If this isn't enough rational evidence for you, you're a fucktard.
I fucking love her voice. She sings very beautiful.
