I'm opposed to labor's ETS on practical, not environmental grounds. Obviously, there is a need to act on climate change, but what they're proposing is ludicrous. It will cost billions, and what they're introducing is a tax!
Another ETS? Mal, you're not giving us much option.
"The forum has accepted money from British American Tobacco, with a senior executive paying $16,500 for a "patron" membership this financial year." Other contributors include the Sydney multimillionaire Matt Handbury, co-founder of the Australian Rain Corporation and nephew of the News Corporation chief, Rupert Murdoch.
Mr Handbury's company received a $10 million grant from Mr Turnbull when he was environment minister not long before the 2007 election. "
Rushed through ? - it is almost 20 years since Kyoto and you lot are still arguing about basic stuff.
Protect jobs ? - Yes temporarily - but do we want to subsidise those dinosaur jobs, while paying other countries to develop the technologies of the future.

Before any agreement can be reached all options should be considered.
It is a poor government that does not listen to experts.
Surely we don't expect any one person to have the answers.
We need to get the worlds, not just australia's best brains working on this.
This is a matter of great importance for the future lets not blow it. .

Just like liberals to take their ideas form other countries and then try and claim it as the best idea.
Its no wonder you were thrown out of office .
Stale copy cats that have no balls or brains .
Lets wait and see what the rest of the world does then we can do what they do.
That is liberal policy that is not leadership.
