oh wow! This retro clip brings bad alot of memories! Could somebody please post It's A Rainy Day? Thats another cute memorable clip that I love so much! Thank you my friend! :)
Joe Raposo is officially one of my favorite music artists now! I remember watching all those mini-musicals as a kid in the nineties and I didn't think to ask, "Isn't that the same man singing for most of those videos?" Now I know and shall treasure them!
I so agree with you, Sesame Street has become just like every other children show on television, it's so repetitive now it hurts to watch, it's sad to see that kids are no longer being challenged and that sesame street has been continuously been dumbed down so much.
Please, I seriously need Froggy goes a kickin. That was my song when I was a kid. Used to sing 'la di da do oh la di da di oh la di da di o day!' while swimming. I cant find it anywhere.
This is one of those things that stuck in my head very early on, and never left. I haven't seen this in over a decade, but to this day I think of it when I find myself in water up to my neck.
By the way...
Damn it all, but that was one hell of a beautiful day when they were filming this.
I have Froggu Goes a Kicking but I can't post it due to the fact I taped that one on Noggin, and I have absolutely no idea how to take the logo out (it'll get removed if I don't take the logo out).
Joe Raposo did a lot of these swimming songs. There was "Water Baby" with seals, and my favorite, "Froggy Goes A-Kicking." I think he wrote it, but he definitely did not sing it.
Thanks for this. Love it! I remember it very well.
This is sooo cute! I remember I would hum this song when I was learning how to swim. :) To this day, I still swim using almost exclusively the doggie paddle!

This is so cute. Sometimes it even brings tears to my eyes. Joe Raposo was (and always will be) the best childrens songwriter of all.

If the dear man hadn't passed over 10 years ago, Joe Raposo would die if he saw what an abomination Sesame Street has become.

They should call it The Elmo Show.

Does the same people sing these songs or do different people sing these songs? It sounds different sometimes.

i love you for adding this video, this song/clip is what first taught me to swim as a child, and led me into an awesome school swimming career.

I have software that can remove the logo. I am more than happy to edit it out. Send me a PM and we'll take it from there.

Thanks for posting this up! Now, that is quality Sesame Street.
I'd be thrilled to hear Froggy Goes A-Kicking on YouTube. I have not heard that song in over 15 years.

I can see parts of this were filmed on the same day as "Water Baby"---you can see that dad with his little son at the end.
