I've had both. The build quality is the same, the biggest differences I found was the noise. The G27 is much quieter when turning then wheel than the G25.

Look for Fanatec Wheels and the Thrustmuster 500RS. The Logitech G25/G27 is considered a good "starting set", but can't compete with the high end wheels from Thrustmuster and Fanatec. On the other hand the Logitech G27 is a good deal for ~230€.

@miro1985 Uhhh not sure if serious. A starting set are wheels like Driving Force GT, G25/G27 is definitely in the high end of things as far as racing wheels go. The quality of materials may not be as good as something like the GT3 RS wheel with clubsport pedals but the only thing you're really missing are the hardware fine tuning knobs, and you're also paying hundreds less for the G25/27.

i think they removed the sequential on function the stick because lots of gearshifters broke down as a consecuence of driving on sequential mode. Might be the best solution to remove it though.

i have my g27 since today... but it feels not like my old g25... the forcefeedback is not there or a little eventually... the g25 has a stange feedback and y can adjust it in the options and now the g27 dont reacts if i put the option on very strange(inGT5) or only a little FFB.... and the steering sensitivy is the same on -2 or 7... no change the g27 costs a lot of money and now i feel sad... cause the ffb isnt good as on the g25...

G27 I can get for 250$... So I'll take the G27, Granted The Fanatec works PC PS3 and Xbox 360, I like the look of a G27 more.

g25 is better, ive heard from countless people who "upgraded" from g25 to g27 who all say that their g25 felt more well put together than the as yet unused g27's they just bought even though they had their g25's for years and used them a lot. shifter lights-pointless (dashboard in games have rev meters) you only notice the g25 wheel noise when you have low volume anyway and the g25 shifter is better with its two modes.

@megaspeed2 LOL a few days after i say this, my G25 has died after being only 1 year 8 months and 22 days old, still in warranty customer service are sending me a new wheel though :D awesomeness!!! they dont make g25 anymore so i think theyll give me a g27, they might be similar wheels but its still pretty awesome to get this upgrade for free just cuz my g25 went faulty XD

everyone talks about the sequential shifts in g25 that are no longer in g27 but keep in mind that the sequential shift made the H gear box on G25 loose and not realistic!if you want sequential use the flapy gears!G27 is more to gamers that love manual shifts!

i have a g25 from 2008 and i both a g27 like 6 mounths ago. They are pretty similar, the only difference i detect is the noise maked by the wheel, g27 is more silent.

i'm so happy that i got a NEW G25! The Steering is alot better than the G27 and it has the sequential gearshift at the shifter. the wheel itself looks better, there is no need for all these extra buttons on the g27.
