@FaceVol5 It doesn't work that way - clock starts when the front tires move. He can leave a second and a half early or ten minutes late - wouldn't change the time on the board. Anything under 9.00 is an 8-second car in drag racing. If you want to be more specific, you can say "high 8-second car."

A person can sit at the tree and let it fall, without an affect on their overall quarter mile time. The only affected time is the reaction time. This is not a footrace that starts with the "gun". Anyone who's been racing at the track knows a parachute is required on cars running over 150mph and he has a chute on the back of his car. This is one of the mildest 8 second street cars I've ever see. Good job to the people that built it.
