@DjDariuse Actually she was right using our logic our saying that the deck is split into red, black, diamonds and spades not red and black but diamonds are red and spades are black so there are 26 red cards and 26 black cards.

26 + 26 = 52

so there can be a max of 26 in both the red and black piles idiot

Have you notice: 14 Red Cards ?! There are only 13 red cards.

So 14 red cards + 14 black cards + 14 diamond cards + 14 spades cards= 56 wrong

So 13 red cards + 13 black cards + 13 diamond cards + 13 spades cards= 52 correct

It totally makes sense that the piles will be even. If two black cards are together, there are two reds that can't be mixmatched. This trick is neat! It's mindblowingly simple. Kaboom!

I did this trick on someone who realized that the red cards and black cards should be even, but fortunately she was not sure about that idea, so I was able to deny and deny untill the end of the trick, and then I got the hell out of that bar.

Cool and simple trick. I just pulled it on my fiance tonight. @Camopants and Willman: If both of you had done some math, or perhaps used some common sense, you would know that a deck of cards has 52 cards in it. 13 clubs, 13 spades, 13 hearts, and 13 diamonds all add up to 52. That is without jokers.

I hate when people who dont know what theyre talking about... talk. Of course it always works. Say you have 12 cards (so this doesnt take forever to explain), 6 red and 6 black.

If the first set is both red, that leaves 4 red, and 6 black. If all of the other reds were with blacks, ie the mixed pairs, that would leave 2 black cards. Thus leaving an even amount.

This is not fake: There must be the same number of black oairs and red pairs, because when you got 2 pairs of red, there are 22 red cards left en 26 black cars. That could end up in 2 pairs of black and the others will be red/black. When it ends up in 3 black pairs, there are 22 red cars and 20 black, what means there are gonna be 20 pairs of red/black and then one more pair of 2 reds, got it? That goes on into infinity of possibilitys, but it just always turns out to the same number of pairs ;)
