Yes, I generally play notes based on the current chord - pretty much major scales with lots of blues notes (minor 3rd, flat 7th). I listen to Clarence White - acoustic, and with the Byrds on telecaster. Great playing!
If this is "rough" I would encourage you to "keep on practicing" Look up "Tommy Emmanuel" I look forward to seeing you progress. In other words I am inpressed.
I seen this amp for sale for $600, is that a good deal. It sounds awesome, but is it lacking any features that your aware of.

It's a good amp, pretty versatile. I bought mine for $475 or so. Maybe you could find a better deal than $600.
