Not sure of the point you are trying to put accross here you mentioned yourself that red diesel can be bought cheaper than petrol! Having restored countless engines between myself and my farther including petrol parrafin gas and diesel engines the latest diesels we have done have been the most economical to run by far!
not allways if you are running tractors dumpers and your engines we find it is better to buy in bulk 1000 gal of red diesel but if you want a can full its the same price a ordanary diesel petrol is cheap as chips
you need careful with red diesel it break a law if you travelling it will lose your car/ van straight away

Hi What sort of paint do you use to paint these engines is it in a can or do you use a air compressor spray gun?

You have to use a heat proof paint, stationary engine parts sell good paints but you can use a brush or a compressor and spray gun.

Of course diesel is more expensive unless you are using red diesel which can be bought at half the cost of petrol
