I've seen / heard muti track stuff that sounds like a quartet but how did you get the chorus effect? I know you said 12 tracks but aren't there just four parts?
Going beyond Barbershop (but still vaguely a capella) type, "monkey jazz" into the search box up above. Heavily digitally enhanced but all vocally produced on the spot.
Not a bad try, I'd suggest a feed back ear peice so that you can hear your earlier recording. That way you could get the diction together and retune when neccessary.

Can you hit high notes in your full voice? If you can I would recommend that.

I'm working on it.... as I sing more and try new songs and tags my range seems to be getting broader.
