@Hollrobb The best way to go about buying a eBay is to use PayPal. You can link your PayPal account to your bank account and the money is taken right out of you account. If you debit card acts as a credit card, you could use it to make the purchase too.

@FaustoAndraca Paypal does charge a fee for using their service. Much like eBay charges a fee. The fee is only charged to the seller of the item and the percentage depends on the type of Paypal account that you have opened. I hope this answers your question regarding Paypal.

@MrPudster1 You should follow the on screen instructions the eBay provides. It depends on the type of sale the is made. If it is a Buy It Now (BIN), then you can pay for the item right away. If it is a regular auction, then you must wait for the auction to end before you pay. All you will need to do is read the directions on screen or in the email you receive from the seller. I hope this helps you eBay buying experience.

@450o054 I have not heard of Paypal taking money out of people's bank accounts. Why would they? They make enough money. If you heard this somewhere, it was probably a rumor started by someone out to get eBay and Paypal.

If you did not "put your paypal" then you probably did not pay and you will not receive the item. If you paid, it will ship to whatever address you have on file with eBay.

If you put in a bid and win, the seller will not ship until you have paid for the item. So, there are no real worries. The only concern is being given a strike for failure to pay for the item you won.

If you put the bid in, but did not pay, you will should not receive the item. The seller will not ship the item until you pay. If you do not pay, then the seller will probably put a file a not paid notice with eBay and you will receive a not paid strike.

I do not have much experience with buying on amazon. If they accept PayPal as a form of payment, then you should not need to have a bank account linked to your PayPal account.
