This better be a radioactive $25K guitar to cause this much of a fuss. Gibson makes fine guitars if you aren't afraid to invest in one. If you can't do that don't tread into PRS waters. A nice Strat will set you back a cool grand these days.

Disregarding the biased media websites that were posted about the material. it took me actually finding the counties website and looking the case up myself. I found Mr Billy R Kidwell at the website for Charlotte County Courthouse in Punta Gorda. To which there are 8 pages of lawsuits filed by Mr Kidwell. One of which is suing the Psychologist at the VA hospital, to which he lost. Since then Mr Kidwell has gone a flurry of cases
Which includes Wal-Mart, Nissan, Chevy, The local school district, Gibson, Banks, evictions and some of the other grueling stuff that unfortunantly alot of veterans get screwed with. Unfortunantly though, after spending several hours reading the case agianst Gibson. His lack of understanding the court system to which he filed in is what caused him to loose and with just cause. He filed for emotional distress agianst gibson, plus about 1.2k for his guitar and 10k for the time without his guitar
Essentially suing for a considerable amount of money that was outside the judicials ability to handle. Being the maximum amount he could sue for legally in claims court was $15,000 and he was sueing for mental distress and undue stress. The case was by far greater than that. And had the potential for a multi million dollar law suit. Which was out of the scope of the court to which he filed. The case was dismissed on that premiss alone. So even if there was some illegal activity in the case
It would not have mattered because he filed in the wrong court for the wrong reasons. And would have been dismissed on those merits alone. I do however agree that he was trampled on biasedly by a group of people who probably looked down on him. And primarily because he has plagued thier court with what they believed to be frivilous and get rich law suits for many years. And caused them to push him to the wayside. however his lawsuit had no merit and no proof for the huge case he filed.
But did however have a perfectly situated lawsuit to file in small claims court to get a new guitar and a proper strap. And maybe the damages of not having the guitar if he had a profession using it and without it hurt his profession.
