I did not find any at all, it comes with a new casing. If there is any damage, you may get an exchange at an Apple Store.

yeah except its easier to upgrade the aluminum and its got a little less ghz, so its a lil slower than the pro

the pro has a new fancy battery (they squared the cells) meaning it lasts a lot longer. The pro also has a micro sd slot and a firewire port. I have a refurbished macbook aluminum 2.4 ghz so the processor is actually better than the pro. i have had it for about 6 months now and its all good

There was one scratch on the side of the aluminum casing, you can bring it into your nearest Apple Store and they will replace your MacBook or do what they can to fix it. But I didn't bother to get mine replaced.

The MacBook that I purchased had nothing wrong with it. I'm sure that your MacBook Pro will be awesome! If there is anything wrong with it, just drop it by your nearest Apple Store and they will either fix your problem on the spot, take it for a couple of days/ weeks, or make an exchange if there is one available (not likely, considering they store them at their factory).

refurbs are great becuase you can save 100s on the machine and get the same great experiance. and they have the same warranty as new macs and you can use applecare with them

The iSight camera is built-in to the monitor, without using any other connections. And to correct you, the MacBook does not feature Firewire 400 or 800 in case you were wondering, it just features the two USB 2.0 slots.

It really depends on your personality, if you are a reckless person by nature, get the AppleCare Protection. But if not, I don't see the point. If you are really worried about wrecking the exterior (body), purchase a good case and don't be afraid to shell out a good $20.00 - $50.00 for a sturdy case, because in the end, it will save you more than that in protection. Don't forget to go to your nearest Apple Store so that you can test the case you are interested in.

But if you are worried about the interior hardware of you MacBook, I do recommend the AppleCare Protection especially if you think you will wreck the software with viruses. Don't forget that you already have one year of complimentary service when you buy New or Certified Refurbished from Apple, and that you can upgrade to the AppleCare Protection anytime within that term.

I got a refurbished macbook few weeks ago and so far it is good to go.. I even got a red case for it...I recommend buying refurbished I got some videos that explains why refurbished might be your best option if you want to save.

Latinlabel: The performance is the same as that of a new MacBook because they are each tested before they are put on the Apple Online Store. The only difference between buying new and buying refurbished is that the new MacBook has new hard drives and a new case, while the refurbished only has a new case, but has the same hard drives as the previous owner. So I would HIGHLY recommend buying refurbished over new anyday, unless you have the money to blow.

jessdoesmac: I got the 2.0 GHz MacBook for $1199.00 ($1350.00 give or take for all the taxes included), if you are in Canada, you are looking at the 1.6GHz MacBook Air for $1099.00. Personally, I recommend the MacBook and not the MacBook Air, because the MacBook has a bigger hard drive, more RAM, and a faster speed. But, the MacBook Air is thinner and the cheaper way to go, so pick your poison.
