  • THat is so niec to see mother like you exist and do not resort to perming your childs hair. And she has thick hair. IT is so crazy when i hear people use dumb excuses to reject interracial adoption stating that white mothers do not know how to style the children's hair. Where in fact alot of young black mothers do not know how to themselves. keep it up.

  • This little girl has really nice hair, thats getting some length on it. Her friends at school will soon be jealous because her hair is going to be so long and healthy! lol

  • it makes me happy to see that you have an adopted black daughter and you learned to take care of her hair..that is real awesome! God Bless you and God Bless your children

  • Thank you, Katelynlyn! I am SO excited to start these styles on my little peanut.

  • lovely

  • She looks super cute in the end with the curly cues. =)

  • She is a doll, she's beautiful with lovely hair good job.

  • the second twist is called rope twist in jamaica cuz wen u done it looks kinda like a rope

  • Thank God for ppl who love children This is wonderful. 2 relax or not 2 relax is a personal choice. Depending on the type of hair the individual have. I never ever believe in relaxing children hair. 2 put chemicals in the babies hair. Oh no thats bad. I didn't get relaxer until I was in my early twenty's 2 make the choice is a personal decision, bcuz only the person knowns what they what 2 do with their hair. Don't condemn those who don't choose to go natural.

  • This is wonderful that you have learned how to maintain natural hair. Especially on a young child. I look forward to viewing your channel. I need some simple ideas!

  • I THINK THIS IS BEAUTIFUL THAT YOU KNOW HOW TO DO HAIR OF THIS TEXTURE AND THAT YOU ARE KEEPING HER HAIR NATURAL. . .I HOPE I'M NOT BEING RUDE, BUT DID YOU LEARN ON YOUR OWN TO DO BLACK HAIR?

  • lol she kalled the twist fat..........i like the secind one.one day i got up rope twisting my hair twwining the two hairs n i thought i invented it but then i saw ppl doing it so i guess i didnt invent it (sighs)

  • awesome! I literally know nothing about twists and this helps alot. thank you!!

  • comb them beedy beeds out lol! just kidding she has beautiful hair

  • @MrRaydioray Lol You wrong for that one. Yes she has pretty hair.

  • I want to tell you that you are doing a great job! I am so happy to see a mom really know how to do her child's hair. No offense or anything, but most people i see who adopt children of other races.. usually don't know how to do their childrens hair. So I appreciate you!!! I know you are a great mom! God bless.... Have you ever tried cantu shea butter in her hair? It is a gREAT product... it's cheap too and i like to put it in my hair and my God daughters hair... love your videos!

  • thanks for this video. I actually use your tutorials to learn to do my own hair lol. I'll be doing twists tonight! :F

  • also you will get sleeker less puffy twist if you twist left over right (curl direction) less full and no twirling necessary

  • I'd like to commend you on a job well done. You rock socks! For whatever it's worth.

  • Too Cute!!!!

  • Beautiful hair..great job mommy! you have put some much love and care into your kid's hair..I have a 18 mos old girl, i have 2 older boys..I used to cornrow their hair when they were little, but now my little princess is here I have been doing a lot a reasearch in promote healthy hair growth and learning nice little styles for her hair. Thank you so much for sharing, I am learning a lot.

  • I am so happy to see this!!!! Thank you for making an effort to understand and have the patience to do her natural hair!!!! You raised the bar! She's so cute and happy!

  • her hair is lovely and long! you can teach a thing or two to some black mothers that i personally know about afro hair care for kids!!

  • I really enjoyed you sharing this with us very inspirational!!!!!

  • beautiful................wow so lovely.

  • Nice job with her hair. You go gurrrl :)

  • I cried when I watched this...you dressed her hair with such love :) God bless you x

  • I need your advice.. my daughter is 18months and her hair is probably 1-2inches longs ( very short hair). I will like to twist it, but I dont know if it is possible with such short lenght. I currently put them in puffs... but sometimes the rubber bands leaves bumps on the side of her hair. I wil like to try something simple like twist. HELP!

  • since she is so young and her hair is still too short you should use cute head bands with flowers on it and such as those jind of things and have it puffed out just wait till it gets longer itll get there :)

  • I miss my natural hair *sigh* You have done a GREAT job with her hair. It looks SO healthy.

  • Her hair is so thick and healthy. I LOVE your vids

  • You inspire me to be creative in doing my daughter's hair. Thank you

  • aw look at that smile :)

  • Katelynylyn is a wonderful mom! She knows more about how to take care of natural afro hair than ANY Black woman I have ever met, including my own mother. These girls have some of the nicest natural hair I have ever seen, God Bless You!!!!!!

  • I agree, she knows much more than i do and anyone i know and im a black african woman!

  • yea usually black women just want to chemically relax their child's hair and call it a day... you know I put twists in my hair and I had many BLACK women at my college asking me if I had dreadlocks... I was like they are called twists.... *sigh*

  • Your little daughter has beautiful hair. Keep up the good work! I am learning so much!

  • I love her sweet little smile there at the end. -sigh- They do grow up fast, though. Ready for the straight styles they're going to ask about when puberty hits, Katelynlyn? ;D Never let them relax it! They probably won't want to. They have such healthy natural hair. They'll realize the blessing they have and continue to be natural girls, I'm sure.

  • she is darling!... and her hair has really grown... when r u doing a update vid?

  • Your videos are great...my daughter is ten now and she has grown out of the ponytails and barettes, but your braid styles are great!

  • Oh and another cute style with twists is to do two sleek twisis and then twist the two twist together. Mymiece wears two side pony twists like this and it's really cute. The hair needs tobe pretty long or you have to blow it our first.

  • Funny - I actually just did that to her hair last night :)

  • Her hair looks so healthy! You can teach a few black moms the proper way to take care of their daughter's hair. I HATE seeing their beautiful hair ruined with harsh relaxers.

  • I totally agree! Katelyn puts me to shame because I cant braid to the scalp. I get sooo discouraged! She does such a great job on her girls hair!

  • I enjoyed this video as well. I liked the fact that you were able to take the twist a loose and it was a style as by itself. What type of prod

  • They're hair looks really thick and healthy. I love you vids

  • you know I dont actually ever remember seeing your face :D

    lol btw Nice vid :P

  • I think the only vid that shows my face is the yarn braids part 2 :)

  • Oh Oh, I'm on it.... :P

  • great job! Such a beautiful little girl, love her hair!

  • Her hair is really thick...I can't wait until mines and my lil girl's hair is the same way...as always I enjoy your videos....

  • The baby doll in the background is creepy, LOL. But nice video:)

  • yeah that doll is actually missing an arm and usually naked, but the baby still loves it :)

  • Haha. Yeah. Is that your daughter, cause she is so adorable

  • Yes she is my daughter. Thank you :) I have 4 children. 3 of them are adopted and our littlest is biological and they are all a blessing to us!
