  • Hit the nail on the head!

  • @dmix09 right on!

  • What he's saying is everyone has abs but it's under the fat on your body. So just by doing the ab coaster will not trim you down to see your abs. You have to do cardio to burn the fat off your body so you can see the abs. The reason for the weight on the coaster is that weights will let your abs gain mass, body weight normally would only tone your abs. If you are not doing any cardio and your over weight and are using the ab coaster then the only result would be you getting semi more toned

  • Also for mass with weights, when you hit 8 to 10 reps you will want it so you cant do anymore. If you are just using body weight then I recommend till failure. Repeat this 4 to 5 times.

  • @VodkaBroz abosolutely correct. But don't coast. HOld that position at the top and then slowly let the machine drop. CONTROL IS THE KEY!

  • @VodkaBroz You are absolutely correct. Without cardio or sound nutrition you can't see the abs through the fat. Weights will help you gain size in the abs but not on this machine. You see, what comes up must come down. The momentum of the heavier weight assists the user in "coasting." It's similar to a pendulum. Listen to the name "Coaster." You don't need much effort to coast. Therefore this machine sucks as a cardio piece and only works the abs if you DON'T coast! Thank you

  • Hey man you don´t really know how to use it so DO NOT try to explain how to use it...¬¬

  • @kaostaind Hey Man, Really? It's so complicated. Maybe you should enlighten everyone.

  • @kaostaind idk abt u..but like the guy said..once u work through the proper range of motion..you re gonna see results!

  • @kaostaind Any you do?

  • Thanks John Potatoe.

  • Sounds cheap.

  • can u guys help me ive been doing 50 per day for a month.. it helped a little bit but if i do 200 per day about how long would it take to get my 6 pack i got a little fat. and what routines should i do? please help

  • @MissKuriosity You're a moron

  • yes, use it correctly, eat properly and get good sleep and you will get some results

  • @LAsfinest96 The results come from you! Not the machine.

  • @MissKuriosity selective listening,,,, I said it's a waste of time if you don't perform it correctly.

I don't own the gym, I just shot the video in it.

  • Hi John you can be back up this viedo with subtitles in Spanish I would love to know what you say because I have the ABcoster and want to know the techniques for a good job I hope your answer thanks

  • If this dude had a lower voice and put on some weight he would totally be Mark Hoffman from the Saw movies.

  • As long as it takes you to get it. It's not the machine, but the person doing it. It has no magic. You could do situps on your own. As soon as you wake up do as many situps as you can, then do it again when you lie down to go to sleep.

  • how long will it take you to get a popping 6 pack?

  • Thanks, I'll keep you posted...

  • How long before you see results? I purchase the AB Coaster about 2 or 3 weeks ago and use it 5 times a week, my waist size has gone down, but yet to see the results on my ABs..

  • @javiluful you already have abs, you just can't see them. Nutrition is really important.

  • @platerojohn ur tips are still very helpful.:)

  • @javiluful yea dude alot of cardio to do i think i heard some one say you gotta have at least less then 10% body fat

  • I have this at home. Just before I watched this video, I realized I was using it incorrectly. This helped out in justifying my own reasons to change the way I was using it. Thanks John!

  • @italiancharmer my pleasure! I'm glad

  • Thank you John, I will try this when I get home tonight. I would like to see more examples if/When you have the time.

  • @snady103 My pleasure!

  • I keep trying to figure out how to brace my arms, I'm doing the arm things and my biceps are sore but not my tummy. (Well maybe a little since I think I did it right one time) I keep trying everyday so I can get it figured out and I think this guy might have given me a clue. :)

  • @snady103 move from your pelvis first... focus there

  • @platerojohn, Thanks John, I went home and focused and worked from the pelvis, It worked, thank you again for the clear instructions.

  • what version is this ab coaster? i search videos and the other ab coasters looks different they look bigger.... =]

  • @adasunny I'm pretty sure it's the commercial model

  • what version is this ab coaster? i search videos and the other ab coaster looks different they look bigger.... =]

  • how many reps doz it take until it hurts?

  • @LAsFinest2011 You tell me!

  • @platerojohn can't don't have 1

  • Hmm would it be better to workout on it every day or Every other day ?

  • @zimo193 Bad question:

Nutrition, rest and exercise are all components of reaching your goal. One isolated question won't work,

It's like asking " should i eat frequently?"

  • John, I'm a previous poster, have been using my Ab Coaster for about a month now. I'm pretty sure my form is good, can feel the abs working and starting to see some results already (along with diet). However, the past week or so I've had some elbow soreness in both elbows. I only use the Ab Coaster every other day for about 80 reps at a time. Not sure why the elbow soreness has come on. If you have any advice on this please let me know, thanks! -Rob

  • hey i used this machine the other day when i was at the gym i think i was doing it right the whole time cuz my abs were hurting does that mean it works cuz tonight im goin to the gym and im gunna try ur method and see if it is different please respond to this thank u

  • @VicTheBoss162 If you felt it than it probably worked.

  • @platerojohn how many are enough per day to work out 200-300 or less?

  • @JXN01 I doubt you could do 200-300 the way I showed you. this is just one component of your fitness routine. you need be doing cardio, resistance for all of your body, resting and eating correctly as well

  • @platerojohn well i usually go to gym,do orbitrek 15-20 mins per day and exercise biceps with heavyweights and do abs exercisce with abcoaster i honestly can do 200-300 in the going u and down with legs part but i have to stay longer in upper part to work? when i do exercise with it it usuallt doesnt hurt but i sweat alot overall

  • @platerojohn u looked out of breath just doin 3... the whole point of the ab coaster is to do cardio at the same time... that is, if youve seen the informercials... Ppl that hav lost weight with it, lost all over, not just the abs... It would b a waste of the machine to hav a piece of equipment that only works 1 part of ur whole entire body when usually ppl want to lose thruout their whole body. This is not meant just for ur tummy... it is meant for ur whole body... ur confusing ppl now

  • @platerojohn i have to stay longer in the upper part to work? everytime i go up it counts but i guess i have to stay longer there. what you think? also didnt know u could add them weight thats cool! but i guess it doesnt matter if i dont use the right?

  • @JXN01 If you pause at the top, you'll get a more intense contraction. Yes, you can add weights but you won't need to for a while if you do it correctly.

  • @platerojohn doing 100 is enough? and well it usually doesnt hurt me and is fun to work out with it and now with your tips is even better!!

  • so it is just for my tummy??

and do u recommend it for ppl who has much fat at their tummy?? thnx

  • @ScherifTutorial Mostly yes. It can be used in a different way but too hard to explain.

If you have fat then you need to do a few things:

    1. Eat sensibly and lower your caloris

    2. Work out hard in both cardio and resistance.

    3. Use this machine correctly

    4. Do all of the above consistently

  • @ScherifTutorial I replied to the guy that posted this video alrdy.. Read it thoroughly... Im sorry he confused u.. Altho he is the director of nccpt, he still doesnt seem to understand the concept of the abcoaster, and for him, i apologize..

  • this video was great ! thanx

today was my 1st time i tried this machine and i wasent sure how to use it correctly but now i know .. lol i will try it 2morrow in the correct way

    thanx

  • @cosmogurl220 You 're welcome

  • Gooday!! Got a question, how big in diameter the weight plate has to be?? Is is standard (30mm)

    Cheers

  • @mark17kazuo you don't need weights. but if you use a weight, it's a standard hole of an olympic plate

  • Nice vid, thanks John. I bought the personal (home) version of Ab Coaster and believe I am doing the reps properly. I've had it for 2 weeks and can feel some results already. Question- Do you recommend raising your knees as high as possible for best results? Secondly, I've read a few comments that the product can cause back injuries. I feel it in my abs, not my back (at all), so my guess is that's only with people doing it wrong... Let me know if you agree. Thanks!

  • @rmm19761 Keep in mind, your knees don't really connect to you abdominals at all. The hip flexors connect to the lessor trochantor of your femur which is what moves your legs. The abdominals move the vertebral column or the spine so yes, it can cause back pain of there's a problem. In fact, put your fingers in your lower back and flex your abs as hard as you can and you'll feel movement. Don't think about your knees so much but about how far our pelvis is moving.

  • @spamom715 awesome!

  • Hi.I am researching this ab coaster. This clears up a lot of things for me,and it maked perfect sence. It is a valuable tool for abs if used correctly. This is not shown in their videos.Like all weightlifting that brief pause at each lift, controlling the weight, not using momentum for maxium benefit.I am going to buy one. This should take stress of the tail bone and neck! Thanks for posting.

  • @newfiebob2 I'm glad it could be the info could be useful.

    thanks

  • That makes sense to me. Thank you for the information.
