God, to have your name joked around with isn't that bad, it was a light hearted little joke. Geldof sure had his panties in a bunch.
Russell actually showed restraint with his comeback - they'd had that written down before the show, but he didn't want to use it, after all Geldof hadn't done anything to him and Russell didn't want to be too nasty. But seriously after Bob randomly insulting him, no wonder he came back with that.
