@iiss229 Really, as far as black metal goes, France, Finland, Japan and the USA has some of the best bands in the genre right now. If anything, with the exception of Ulver, Enslaved, early Burzum and Darkthrone, Norwegian black metal is some of the shittiest black metal out there. Les Legions Noire > "True" Norwegian Black Metal.

@iiss229 Maybe you need to listen to some good USBM, then. Bands like Brown Jenkins, Black Witchery, Judas Iscariot, I Shalt Become, Cobalt, Palace Of Worms, shit like that. And it's not like Europe is any better, considering they spawned shitty bands like Amon Amarth, Children Of Bodom, newer Dimmu Borgir and fucking Moonblood and Nargoroth.

@olddirtybaby Profanatica and VON. Also, bands like Sarcofago and Blashphemy were around waaaay longer than any of the Norwegian bands. So yeah, I always laugh when people tell me Norway has a patent on black metal.

@misanthropyeternal Norway doesnt have patent, but its pretty clearly that you under know your history. Swedish bathory from 83 and mayhem from 84, thats were most bands got their influence. It comes from here, in scandinavia... And especially the second wave which evolved here. And yes, sure black metal can come from US... but 95% of the shitty music you make over there sucks.

It's all the stuff they were pushing through the house PA, as in basically no guitars but lots of vocals and kick and snare. bad decision for a "pro shot" video. Obviously done by video people without a sound engineer. Yuck. Needs at least a room mic to mix in.
