I'm surprised you included Steve McQueen. I love him, but his career took off when the studios were already collapsing. Charlton Heston, Richard Burton, Orson Welles, Richard Widmark, and Walter Brennan (greatest character actor) were also good potential candidates.
This is a wonderful list, but they are missing a few actors here! Like the unforgettable Glenn Ford and Ramon Navarro... hopefully like you just said CSISSweeneytodd, TCM will have a "100 edition"!
Nice list! Missing Glenn Ford though--he def should have been included. Jack Lemmon was under contract in the 50s to Columbia--so I can see why he is there. Not sure about McQueen though--didn't he come around in the 60s?
I totally forgot that two men are missing, too. Some of the best actors ever, Alec Guinness and James Mason. I know that they were from Britain, but they had great Hollywood careers, too.
Oh, my God, where's Orson Welles??! I can't believe it. Of course, I would like to see Joseph Cotten or Dana Andrews, too, and some other fellas, but Orson is unforgivable.
@TheBigValley *Sigh* I agree, Laurel & Hardy should definitely be on the list- another reason TCM should have a "100 edition." I still hope you enjoyed the video nonetheless.
Is a crime to have forgotten Orson Welles. How is it possible? TCM, because it has neglected Orson Welles? For example I would not have included in the list Jack Lemmon. The Studio Era/Golden years are 1920s-1930s-1940s and 1950s. Jak Lemmon belongs mainly to the 1960s and 1970s. Another great actor forgot, is Lionel Barrymore! I'm glad there is his brother John!
For the rest, is a excellent list! Thank you for sharing this! Much appreciated!
@bexbeckyxx Thank you for commenting. :) I agree that TCM did omit some very good actors, Donald O'Connor being one of them. I personally think that they should come out with a "100 actor" edition. :)
@CSISweeneyTodd This is a good tribute, I think that would be a great idea! That way nobody would be forgotten. Maybe we should all write to TCm to propose actors/actresses.
@ILoveLaraineDay Claire, I think it's definitely worth trying, that way nobody would be overlooked. I think we should definitely consider suggesting it to TCM. :)
What about Charleton Heston?

Needs some more character actors. Claude Rains would've been a good addition.

One actor that I think should be on there, the 'incredibly sexy' Carl Dean Switzer!

Steve McQueen belongs to the 1960s-1970s and therefore I would not have included him in this list.

Thank you for this video and putting Bogart in the first few seconds. Our legendary men may be gone, but they will never be forgotten!
