I barely survived on 12000$ per year for 7 years just to get this goddamn degree and to have my PhD adviser stole my research to make patents out of it and I could not even fight for myself, but now I am a DOCTOR, wow so cool and funny... Just try to pay your daycare and rent and bills out of that much money.

For all you people out there who didn't get exploited in a 7-10 year long PhD program, and then sacrificed on the altar of "scientific research": Please do not try to understand, you probably won't know what it is to hit such lows as bright, young people unless you went through it yourself.

Please try to empathize though! We might seem like a weird bunch, but we'll always appreciate your help or at least a good word from someone now and then...

LOL this is soo funny. I am entering the psychology PhD program. I look forward to this life.
