  • You really have to work on your attitude towards us Atheists. To me it looks like you're posting videoes just to provoke us.

I've always thought that most of you Christians were open-minded and had already accepted that there are people out there that do not belive that all of this is made by 1x awesome magician. Though you seem to be in denial.

And for the love of God, please stop being a smartass. "I wanna be smart, so I'll become an atheist"

You and me both know that you will never be smart.

  • Do you believe in the flying ardvark on the planet smoo? if you said no you're an atheist

No matter what there will always be some supernatural (unreal) entity you don't believe in, so you are an Atheist in that respect

Atheist is a term theists use as a curse word

Atheists are normal people, waiting for religion to prove anything it claims. Are you waiting for proof? if you said yes you're an Atheist

No you didn't destroy his argument but you did show the contradiction of the bible

  • hey, i think that over-used word is the word actually! who agrees?

  • please tell me he's being sarcastic.

  • Before doing whatever "research" you've done, maybe you should've began with looking up atheism in a dictionary. If you don't have a dictionary, or a local library than you can also use one of the many online dictionaries. You don't have to believe in a supernatural being, just because you believe in a man named Jesus, right? But if you think the man called Jesus is "the Lord," or "the son of God" (or both as some people actually do...??), than you are not an atheist by definition. Understand?

  • I agree, an atheist is generally more intelligent than a religious person. By that token, I don't think you are capable of becoming an atheist.

  • You're quite wrong when you say atheists can't believe in Jesus. I believe jesus was a real man, just not the son of god. There isn't a god, it takes quite a lot of bravery in my view to realise that when you die you're dead, gone, finished. The idea that your conciousness isn't eternal is not something that everyone can deal with i suppose.

  • The one thing you are right about is: you are not intelligent! -but at least you are honest enough to admit it.

  • "Thinking about maybe becoming an atheist"

That's like saying "thinking about maybe becoming an a-cultist". Are you in a cult? No? Then you're an "a-cultist". Believe in any supernatural god(s)? Yes? Not an atheist. No? You are an atheist. Belief in a man named "Jesus" is irrelivant. You can believe in Muhammed, Moses, Buddha, etc without being Buddhist or Muslum etc.

  • Not exactly. Believing Jesus existed would be irrelEvant. However, believing IN him would defeat the purpose of being Atheist. He said the scripture is true, God is real, etc. by believing in him you accept all he said to be true.

  • Well that's just semantics. When I said "believe in", I meant "believe that they exist". If someone says "I believe in leprechauns", it doesn't mean they believe that leprechauns are always truthful. If there was doubt over whether Hitler existed, I could say "I believe in Hitler" - it doesn't mean I accept his dogmas. Likewise, you can "believe in" Buddha, Jesus, Moses, Muhammed, etc without following those religions. Or you can even accept the message but not believe the claims of divinity.

  • you could be better on sarcrasm. anyways... chaos theory for the win! ^^

  • Everyone knows that if you want to become smart, you become Jewish, not an atheist.

  • i think you need to research exactly what your believing...because ive got to tell you, if you dont actually research your beliefs, then its pure ignorance which is actually guiding you.

research any of the following, in comparison with jesus...

    horus

    mithra

    dionysis

    attis

    krishna

    zoroasta

    appelonius.

  • Whether or not an historical Jesus existed has no bearing on whether or not God exists.

I suggest you read Thomas Jefferson's letter on religion to his nephew Peter Carr. I highly recommend "Atheism: The Case Against God" by George H. Smith. You have nothing to fear and everything to gain from an honest pursuit of the truth.

  • lol I enjoyed your video and your style :P

Personally though I have no view on whether Jesus existed, largely because I wouldn't consider myself a historical scholar or educated enough in terms to judge whether he did.

My position as an atheist is simply a lack of belief in a(ny) god(s). Of course with varying reasons depending on the definition of god you go by. I certainly hope you make more videos :)
