I'm a huge fan of both LOTR and Sevendust, when I first found this vid I wasn't really shocked, but it deffinatly left an impact on me, this song actually goes well with the LOTR story...if you think about it. Anyway great job, everytime I get on youtube I always watch this vid.

I stumbled across this video for the first time a few months the same day I found out someone I knew had killed himself. I was so full of emotion that day, I just replayed this over and over again until it all drained out of me. I'd just like to say thank you for that, because it was the release I had needed.

@Lightshade393 I can feel identify with that. I was going through a very rough time a few years ago and made this video to deal with it. I had family members that were very ill. My fiancee at the time (now my wife) wasn't sure we would ever get married since so many obstacles kept coming up. I had two friends die in Iraq and another friend that didn't die but will never be the same physically or mentally. I poured all of that emotion into this video and just used the movie as a surrogate.

LOTR was one of those once in a lifetime experiences. You were excited to see it come, and really sad to see it go (I bawled at the end of ROTK), but glad to experience it all the same; something that will probably never happen again.

(Maybe "The Last Airbender", but that's not quite the same. It's got the same D.P. as LOTR, though.)

You captured all that into 8 short minutes. 'Tis a work of art.

Now I kind of want to go back and watch LOTR again. :)

I think most people associate Lord of the Rings with only soft music but I think it's possible to make a hard rock song work with the LOTR movies if you're able to match the lyrical content of the song with the themes and images of the film.

Honestly I made this video mostly for myself and used the characters as surrogates for what I was going through at the time. I didn't think it would be well received by LOTR fans for the reason I mentioned above and was surprised by the positive responses

@hitmanyr2kHQ Well I think the Hard Rock aspect goes perfectly because the movie is filled with war and usually Hard Rock music is what you find in places like Football and Hockey arenas during games to pump up the crowd and the players

I use Ulead Mediastudios 7.0 Pro. It's lesser known when compared to editing apps like Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas but it's been my program of choice for the last 4-5 yeas. I have a great comfort zone with it.
