  • This video is what made me LOVE the Derailers and I had to see them twice at the Broken Spoke in Austin, TX and the 2nd time was the last time the original lead singer was with the band. I was very sad after that point, but thanks for putting this video on for everyone.

  • This is one of the best country videos ever made.

  • great Texas country rock sound

  • Sounds like the Bakersfield sound! Great song too!

  • where was this filmed and who is the blonde?

  • @hrminer92 That's my cousin...Amy ...she actually married the bass play Ed...They met when they filmed this video :)

  • .......'effincool!

  • HELL... YEA

  • Tony and Brian are the Buck Owens/Don Rich of their generation. They sound just like each other. Kudos to Ed and Mark as well.

  • They'd raise the bar, so Nashville won't touch em.

  • fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Derailers Keep's It Real With Their Rock-A-Billy, Tony Look's Like Faron Young....

  • funny video, the Derailers were so good that is was a crime. wish they were still kicking it they are so much better than the corporate country that passes it self off as music now.

  • EXELENTE COMO BOCA Y ARGENTINA

  • ESTA EXELENTE

  • Ahhh Tony! *sigh* He and Brian had such amazing chemistry, didn't they?

  • This is the stuff we played for YEARS in El Paso.......folks scoot a boot to this stuff!!! Yeeeeeee Haww

  • I miss Tony

  • I love these guys!

  • 5-31-2010. He's full of glee at 43. Happy Birthday, Ed Adkins. I hope that The Derailers can come to my area and perform sometime (Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, SC).

  • does anyone have the video for California Angel?

  • steelguitarboy is right on!

one of my favorite country band...tough as nails!!

    i miss Tony but...

  • If you haven't ever seen them at the Broken Spoke in Austin, you're missing out. Great stuff.

  • wow havent seen this video in years - glad its posted

  • This band probably would have gotten more exposure if they had not released it on 09/11/2001. Instead of playing some Derailers, Clear Channel "country" decided they would mostly play Lee Greenwood's redneck easy listening song "God Bless the U.S.A." and the like. A friend of mine "suggested" Nashville record execs are so evil, they called Prez Bush and told him to make it happen on that date.

  • Excellent!, great group.

  • Love me some Derailers!

  • Yep Derailers as cool as it gets.

  • I've got to say that The Derailers were one of my favorite bands. They really did have a period of complete excellence with tremendous stage presence coupled with some of the finest writing/singing & instrument performances hands down. It really is a shame that they are not appreciated by many. The reason that Nashville is the way it has become is due to the fact that people still buy Nashville records most. Pretty sad.

  • @steelguitarboy Amen Brutha I was watching that crap on CBS and found my way to youtube searching for the Derailers I must have seen them 20 times during this time and got to meet and talk with Tony V many times I was really dissapointed when he left the band. But you are right Nashville should be ashamed the way they refuse to recognize traditional acts like the Derailers and even the Mavericks before them. they really dropped the ball with the Derailers these guys really had potental

  • @steelguitarboy that aint no($#IT)

  • @steelguitarboy Damn strait The Derailers were the shit back when Tony was still with em He had one of the coolest voices and was an awesome songwriter I must have seen them 10 or more times back in those days!!!! They were always great to see live. I wish Tony was still writing and recording He was a true talent the late 90's and early 00's were a great time for cool retro Country

  • @steelguitarboy I couldn't have said it any more acurately!

  • @steelguitarboy The Derailers were one of the best country groups, but singer Tony V. left and the band has become a group of corny nerds. The only original member left in the band is Brian H., who is a great guitarist, but he should not use the name The Derailers, because it's very misleading. People still go to the shows expecting to see a completely different lineup and hear the great songs from the first 5 albums, but this new version of The Derailers isn't very good.

  • @hectorsalinasisback i totally agree, i absolutely LOVE their first few albums, especially "jackpot" and "full western dress", but once Tony left the group they fell apart. When Brian sang lead on some songs on the early albums he sounded great, but now its different somehow, i just dont like any of their new music now.

  • Who the blond? She's classy..

  • Ed's wife.

  • cool
