Motogp is not just for Rossi, like in 2005 where he can even hang his boots with 4 races remaining.

the change to 800cc brings more competition from other manufacturers, as u could c in Catalunya '07, 5 diff. manufacturers at top 5.

I don't think thats the problem. Its that they introduced traction control, and all that electronic stuff that makes drivin a motogp bike easier. Stoner and the other young drivers drove with TC in the 250cc, so they are used to driving with the TC and get everything out of the bike. Rossi is old skool, he was drivin motogp when it was way more difficult to keep a motogpbike under control.

i don't know, lorenzo been really impressive and has shown some 'mature' type passes as far as setting up the overtake, but i do agree with you that rossi will overcome him. you can tell he's getting a better feel on his bridgestone's and is getting accustomed to how they wear throughout the race.
