that is actually the first thing that came to mind when I got the book was how it would go good with a cthulhu stuff, it even mentions that the game was inspired by it at the beggining

If you'd want to stay true to the original Call of Cthulhu game you'd have to come up with some kind of sanity mechanic though.
Does Hunter use the same Morality stat as the WoD corebook?
yes, but it gives a dread power (monster merit) that induces derangements
