Who's the brave soldier at 5:01, he's got a knights cross with oakleaves and swords. Judging by his facial injuries, it's an award well deserved. Anybody ID this man?
@martinwellborne right, the PLM was was instituted in 1740 by frederick the great, the iron cross in 1813 by friedrich wilhelm III (war of liberation against napoleon 1813-15) there was also a peace class of the PLM "Pour le mérite für Wissenschaften und Künste" instituted by friedrich wilhelm 4 (reinstituted after WW2, still there!). A reintroduction , in my opinion, would be useless because from its introduction in 1813 and onward it was meant to be a temporary award, only awarded during war
@martinwellborne , the PLM could only be awarded to officers, the iron cross to everybody without distinction of rank or position except from the grand cross and Star which was reserved for highranking commanders. it's true that the RK 'replaced' the PLM, with the difference that it -as stated above- could be awarded to EM, NCO's and officers.
Galland's Knight's Cross with oakleaves and swords is for sale for 22K at Snyders Treasure if anyone is interested.. Quite nice, without the ribbon, tho.Apparantly Adolph gave it to his buddy when he was in his 70's. A hell of a man.
People who would belittle these men would not have the guts to fight for their own country so they have to attack brave men. May God damn you not only on Earth but also in the after life!

This song is not appropriate, not all of these men were Nazis. They were loyal Germans fighting for their Fatherland.

I dont know who gave this a "1" rating, but this is a very well made video.
At 3:14 is Artur Phleps, the famous commander of the 7th SS Prinz Eugen!
