Thanks for showing the horrendous shimmer you get on the S's (and high notes, which you don't have) with Sennheisers. These mics blew my bloody eardrums inside out when I used to work with them in a band.
Is there no one on the whole of you tube that can't just sing into a mic to demonstrate it?
Thanks for your comment, as far as I know, these mics aren't for singing. The RE50 is used by newscasters. I'd sing for you, but I'm not sure your eardrums could handle a second attack. Get me a doctors note and I'll give it a try.
I didn't realise. It seems to me that all Sennheisers have this whistly shimmer regardless what they are for! We used some top of the range mics and I hated them. Maybe for speaking they're good because it means more clarity?
I love them both, well worth the money for quality sound. $1000 for a camera... invest in a good mic. Though, I wish I had a shotgun mic, probably more functional for general family fun stuff.
I just got the ME2. Its really nice and clear.
Thanks for this =).
