Out of the three australian Elphaba's my order of favourites are

1. Jemma Rix

2. Patrice Tipoki

3. Amanda Harrison

Any performer playing Elphaba who can, on a riff, comfortably go higher than the actual notes they are meant to be singing, instantly demonstrates their superior singing skills not only compared to Idina but also compared to any other actress who cannot riff in that manner. On that fact alone, Patrice joins the select group who solidly rise above the call of duty in this role. Idina has the advantage of being beloved, cherished, and The Original, but 'sadly', there are others better than she is.

I saw Patrice recently and was impressed, the only thing I was disappointed with was that her "It's Meeeee" was no where near as powerful or as "goosebump creating" as Jemma's is

I love her, I saw her on Wednesday night and she was amazing. I had no idea that it was going to be her as that night and when she ran out for Dear Old Shiz she was so little!! such a huge voice!!

Carmens riff is similar to edens but different. Carmens riff fits more runs into the last sylable of the phrase

No probably not teal i doubt she's even met her. I only say Carmen becuase Patrice was watching Carmen's first Matinee. I know cause I was there. and i doubt it was from Jemma either considering Jemma hasn't done that riff that is so exactly the same as carmen's.

The only reason I say Jemma is that she did that riff at the Hats Off performance, which I put up, which was a few weeks prior to this Patrice performance.

saw patrice tonight and thought she was really good. Her riffing in No Good Deed is superb and her finale to Defying Gravity is awesome.

Jemma Rix is still my absolute fave though, man she can sing!
