  • That catch was stunning.

    However

John Dyson's was the best ever

  • 22 dislikes? 11 Aussies + wags

  • spectacular yes - best ever ? you are joking. Nearly every catch he took he made a meal of it

  • Botham's trite commentary is almost as offensive as his awful, West country Estuary English.

Great catch, but why did he take his 'at off and throw it away? Suppose his mum was watching.....

  • the 20 dislikes are all aussies

  • auseis are unlucky every time with best runout, catch

  • Brilliant catch. Smiths (Aus) catch in their game vs SL is also one to behold (and very similar)

  • If you complain that you never get goosebumps watching even the most thrilling of the actions.

    WATCH THIS!!! <3

  • That is possibly the best catch in cricket I've ever seen!

  • thumbs up if you threw up at the beggining!

  • Thank you Colly.

  • Collingwood is Xceptional!

  • I love Colly but I from Durham!

  • wtf there was a wierd tranny in the begginin

  • You've gotta be kidding if you're calling that the 'greatest catch of all time'...

  • For those who says johnty rodes took better catches than this one, why dont you put a video up on facebook. I agree with the guy who posted this, this is one catch ive remembered all these years. Johnty was a great fielder, but i dont think even he took one better than this. But i could be wrong, jonty started playing before i started watching cricket.

  • guys collingwood is a real goal keeper

  • it's ok

  • not bad

  • @yoghurtisok i agree

  • lol @ the dude at the beggining

  • heard about jonty rodhes's catches????

  • @rahulnigam01 Dont think they have

  • great catch, but not the greatest ever. Jonty Rhodes made catches like that in his sleep.

  • i hate to say it but fatty vautin's catch was pretty good even though it was a fluke.

  • This is awesome, but Tamim Iqbal and Matthew Sinclair both caught 2 better catches. In fact Tamim's catch is the most underated ever. This is good but just watch Tamim's and you'll see which is the more amazing.

  • i disagree. Outfield catches are so much easier than short catches. Thats because you have to have anticipation on top of athleticism and everything else.

  • catch of the year mate

    was nearly a no ball

  • hatsoff!!!

  • 0:00 says all you need to know about this sport.

    j/k. :)

  • mark taylors juggling catch

  • ohhhhhhhhhh what a catch.....:))))))

  • not even close, check David Boon in Shane Warne's hat trick

  • haha wtf is up with the guy in the beginning with the dress on lol. but that was a tremndous catch

  • a very brilliant catch by coolingwood.............really marvallous

  • that is sweet even though I don't know how to play cricket

  • ha look at these cocks fighting :D

  • yep. great catch

  • try baseball or football...these catches aren't anything compared to real sports

  • baseball they have gloves!!! how easy

  • Yeah, because the ball is coming at them at over 100mph sometimes...you try and catch a baseball bare-handed

  • baseball... a real sport. yeah right

  • yeah that's why these guys are getting paid so much cause everyone in the world wants to play it (said with intense sarcasm)...cricket isn't even close to the level baseball is at

Let's bounce a ball off the ground and try to hit it with an oar that we stole from somone's boat!! LOL!!!!!!!

  • @lpete023 lets play big-kiddies rounders!!

see I can play that game too,

Baseball is for ego-maniac, muscle-bound oafs all you need a fast arm as a pitcher and a good eye as a batter, batting and bowling in cricket is an artform and takes transfers of weight and expert foot placement to survive at the highest level, oh wait I forgot you yanks wouldnt understand about art-form s do you

catching with gloves!? who'd a thunk?

  • honestly dude i love baseball and football but cricket looks so much more difficult....baseball is more fun to watch but cricket looks hard to do

  • cricket more difficult than baseball? You think trying to hit a moving 95mph fastball, then trying to hit a 85mph curveball is easier than hitting a ball that gets bounced off the ground. They can hit the ball prett much sideways and it's still in play. If you could hit a baseball in the directions they do then I might think differently but I think hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports...you fail 7 out of 10 times and you're considered a stud, can't say that in any other sport

  • im saying catch wise cricket is way more difficult...NO GLOVES!!

  • there not using gloves cause the ball isn't as hard and it's tiny...there's no need for a glove...think about trying to field a baseball with no glove...that would be impossible...baseball way more dangerous too...cricket isn't even on the same level in any aspect as baseball

  • you should also think about playing cricket with a glove...would be musch easier ..these sports are both comparable but have you ever tried to catch with a glove and without......tell me.....which one is more difficult....PS im a brew crew fan and I love baseball (I am open to ideas and foreign sports unlike urself)

  • I know cricket would be easier with a glove...it'd be easier than baseball with one...and I've played cricket before(just for fun) and it's not even as close to as hard as baseball...baseball is so much faster and the guys are way bigger, hitting balls so much harder...that is why i say cricket isn't even on the same level as baseball...and my CUBBIES are about to take over first place here so enjoy the last week being in first..oh and i'm open to foreign sports, cricket is just lame that's all

  • C-Cubs

    U-Usless

    B-By

    S-September

  • coming from a guy who roots for a team that made the playoffs for the first time in how many yrs last yr...try not to respond with when's the last time you won a world series

  • Cubs have not won since 1908....yet they have had about 9 chances to win the series....and the previous milwaukee braves won in 1957 ps the brewers are not over 101 years old of playing baseball...

  • figured you'd go there...you're trying to argue in favor of a team that was so pathetic that got kicked out of the AL and thrown into the NL and have been at the bottom ever since...finally made the playoffs last yr cause they had CC but he shows what a joke that francise is cause there was no way he was getting signed by them again...just wait braun and fielder will be on another team as soon as their contracts are up

  • I love cricket : )

  • braun=7 year contract

CC is doing trash this year

cubs fans ruin every game they go to...ask any other fans of other teams about their feelings of the cubs...everyone hates em...

  • that's a retarded statement and i hope you know that...braun will demand a trade soon enough and cc started slow but is doing very well now

  • bull

  • excellent response...and thanks for letting the sox beat you this weekend and letting us gain in the standings...keep letting us stay close until aramis ramirez comes back then we'll start to dominate.

    "Bull"...LOL

  • ....fucking cubs fans ruin baseball sure i have no problems with the team cubs.just the fans....ive seen hundreds of cubs fans get thrown out of games cuz of stupidity....last year 3 cubs fans ran out of a bus and beat up a brewers fan immaturity

    (its just a game)

  • Actually, a REAL cricket ball is both bigger, and harder than a baseball, and it is actually harder than Baseball because the bounce and turn element actually makes the game more difficult

  • Yes that was a great catch, but not the greatest catch of all time

  • what is then?

  • I am not a person to decide the greatest catch of all time, but I remember in year 2000 at Sharjah ground, in the final match of the tri-series between Pakistan and South Africa, Jacques Kallis took a catch to dismiss Shahid Afridi in Lance Klusener's bowling. That was the greatest catch I had seen in my whole life.

Collingwood's one is a great example of quick reflex catch, but Kallis's one was truely a very tough one to hold in hands after running such a long way backwards and then diving.

  • umm, a great catch?

  • so true it was an excellent 1 but not the best !!

  • wtf the guy in the begining

  • :):L

  • andy bickel and adam voges have both had better catches on the rope.

  • Even though i never get to see it here in Central Europe, everytime i am oversees somewhere southeast asia and get English TV i LOVE WATCHING cricket and rugby!!! Football is in my opinion the best sport in the world but man those two sports kick ass!!! baseball and pussy american football suck against this!

  • Rhodes(SA) is still the best fielder according to me...[:D]

  • I agree. Too bad tht we don't have many videos like these of him. Still a great catch though!

  • I was lucky enough to be there in the ground, and still sober at the time, to see it live. Absolutely awesome catch! The best thing is that they kept replaying on the big screen and EVERY time it was replayed, even 2 hours later, Collingwood got a 15000 standing ovation.

  • yes a man in drag..........I saw it. I dont really care. But interesting. Stellar catch............but the Windies took better catches than that.........well maybe not that was special. John Dyson probably took the best catch ever.

  • anybody relise something weird in 0:00-0:01?

  • i lol'd.

    yep i laughed out louded

  • yeah lets go watch some baseball right? or american football? BOOOOORRRING!! i saw tampa bay vs boston and there where FUCKING 3 HITS IN THE WHOLE GAME!!! NOW THAT IS BORING!! and rugby is much more interesting than american football. faster, more personal intelligence, and not fat, mcdonalds eating guys which have to find out what they have to do everytime the ball hits the ground. seriously cricket, rugby, and football(also known to you as soocer) ROCK MAN! see real sports!

  • @SchwarzundWeis you have obviously never really watched American football. A game of tactics, it is a war. The McDonald eating guys can usually do 100yds. in just over 10 secs. Their explosive speed is awesome. They wear 'armour', this allows you to 'hit' harder in tackles. I found that out when I boxed, I hit harder with gloves on than not. I agree on baseball. Watch U.S. ice hockey if you want fast & furious.

  • @rafhenlow they wear armour cos they are not man enough to take a hit like men

  • @benunwin29 So I wore gloves when boxing because , what? I found in 'street' fights, ( I have had to defend myself on football pitches, & a couple of troublesome neighbours), that my first thought was the damage I could do to my hands. So rarely used head shots. If you are protected you will hit harder! Fact! Rugby players do not launch themselves into tackles, they don't weigh coming on for 200lbs +. Try it sometime.

  • @SchwarzundWeis Well your not used to it. You might think its boring but to us Americans its normal. And vice versa for us with cricket and rugby. By the way, Is that the best you can do with making of Americans? The McDonalds thing?? Damn dude. They have done studies and found the UK contains more fat people then the US.

  • @NightmareTeeVee I dont know about Germany but damn I hate Europeans who make fun of the US but we' re supposed to be Allies...I dont get it.

  • @NightmareTeeVee dont confuse disliking sports with being racist or hating a country. those arent even twol differen pair of shoes, those are two different WORLDS!

dont worry, we here dont hate you, we just watch you with a very careful eye. trust me, obama/USA government gets much more hated from their own americans then from us :)

  • @SchwarzundWeis theyve also got the world series.. in which only they take part

  • @SchwarzundWeis nice opinion, but it's just an opinion. I disagree.

  • die, die and die for a third time.

  • good catch Strauss had a similar 1 if i can remember

  • Strauss had the "superman" catch at Trent Bridge in the first innings...absolutely flew from second slip and plucked the ball one handed out the air. Collingwoods here is much more acrobatic but both were gems.

  • paul collingwood is an amazin catcher

  • that might be brilliant but just shows how committed the brits are...i mean he threw his cap after completing that catch.

  • WEB GEM

  • NICE! VERY NICE

  • pulled that out of his arse

  • Was the umpire on the wrong side? Shouldnt Jeremy Llods been on teh other side?

  • not deal big enuff to comment on

  • no, the umpire stands at square leg for righthanded batsmen. hayden's partner was probably righthanded. i don't know if he'd stand at square leg if both batsmen are lefthanded.

  • It MAY have been a right hand/left hand batsman thing, but I reckon it was a strong sunshine thing. It was stinking hot that day and the sunlight would have been in Jerry Lloyds face if he'd been at square leg when Hayden was batting.

  • i seen alot of good catches, personally, thats the best :)

  • We need change!

  • thats a briliant catch ever in cricket history

  • brilliant! one of the best ever, also the best catcher and fielder (i.e run outs) of all time is jonty rhodes, i hate south africa but he is a legend!

  • yeah i wouldn't say that was the best catch ever thought but definitely the best from collingwood

  • the world best catch awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So's your anus...

  • shut up hes white

  • @Iversonrb huh? whats that mean?

  • cricket balls are more Aero dynamicly afficant therefore travel fater than baseballs

  • do you have any idea how fast a cricket ball travels?

  • not as fast as 90 mph

  • faster

  • .................Ya'll wear baseball mitts in the first place. Second, we have bowlers that bowl faster than your pitchers can throw. Third, when someone like Matthew Hayden hits the ball.............do you have any idea how fast that's going? The reason why Americans always criticize cricket that it's boring is because they don't have the skill to play it. Same with football or 'soccer' as they wrongfully dubbed it. I'd like to see your baseball heroes try to take that catch.

  • retard i play cricket all the time im indian so dont tell me this shit, plus cricket is more entertaining than boring baseball im sorry i was pissed off at the time i made that comment and yea cricket is awesome

  • no offence, i can admitt that u can beleive that...

but i sometimes like to watch the NFL, & its always stop start stop start, taking forever to form the play, then throwing it even for an incomplete & then its all the same stop start....

MLB half the time the hit dont count or they dont hit it, it takes forever...

so yeah, u can say our sport is boring but yours can be to

  • yeah but cricket isnt really about non stop entertainment. going down to the cricket is going down on a scrocher, making a helmet out of a watermelon and playing cricket on the lawns of carpark for half the game

  • suberb catch

  • thas nt da best catch but it is one of the da

  • Ripper.

  • this as such isnt the best catch ever...i think the best catch was the one taken by jacques kallis in Tangiers in a tri-nations...that was taken running back frm mid-off and diving full-stretch to take the catch...this is prty simple compared to that one.

  • Diving back isn't that hard to tell you the truth. At least i've never dropped one diving back. I think this is much harder because he dove to the left but used his right hand to literally PLUCK it out the air. Great coordination in less than a second. Whereas Jacques has ample time to judge the ball.

  • For those that believe that ball is a no ball it isnt. A no ball has to be over waist height when it doesnt bounce, and over head height when it does bounce, that did go over head height, even when it does having him jumping

  • Not bad, did bugger all the rest of his pathetic career though.

  • looked like a noball over shoulder height!

  • Note: He played at it so they won't usually call it N.O if they play it. if he left it then yes it would've been No ball

  • outstanding catch. there have been better though

  • collingwood had some real nice catches

  • GENIUS!

    Go Colly GO!

  • lol hayden couldn't believe it

  • good but not the best

  • thats really fantastic collingwood is a good batsman as well.nice catch anyways

  • y the hell is that guy wearing a dress?

  • ha ha ha. I noticed it too.

  • Harmison getting wickets against Australia... The internet is such a great source for all that wierd sorta shit.

  • so fucking weird that in that game he took 3 wickets in 4 balls! Mind you it was against pussy batsmen!!!

  • thanks!.. ive been wanting to see it in real time.. not the slo mo

  • Kinda like James Anderson in da world Cup
