I live in gainesville florida, i consider 17 or below cold, because it happend recently. Most people think florida is always hot, not really. Every winter we get at least 21F. We have had highs as high as 37. with a maximum windchill of 29. For a high here thats pretty cool. And i have lived here forever. Dont think that because in summer we average hi's at 89 - 91F, that in winter we dont have 40 and 50 hi's. Us floridians dont complain about 50F. I consider 70 hot.

In Riga, Latvia this morning came with -16,9°C and now 3:21 PM is -11,7°C :)

In 12th January there was even -21,4°C

Forecast says, that within 5 days the temperature may fell down to -26°C (in easten part of Latvia (about 250 km east) even to -32°C) ... NOW THAT'S A COLD :)

That is not cold.. have you guys ever felt below zero temps with a stiff wind? Now thats cold. A 33 degree January day, is warm up here in Michigan..Hell I would love to have 33 degrees everyday in the winter..You guys measure snow by inches..in Michigan we measure snow by feet. It snows so hard that you hear thunder and see lightning flashes..thats winter weather!

@ILovestorms 30 degree temperatures are common in north central florida in winter. So are 20's. We actually hardly ever get up to averege in january.
