i just dont know what to say. i mean the backflip was first perfected by tom meents in gothenburg sweden in 2007. everytime i see more backflips being done by other monster trucks, its making me think that they are one-uping him because of the way they pull them off. i know its a breathtaking move, but i wish theyd give credit where credit is due. im not gona wish they stopped doing it. i just want everyone to know who started it.

@10yearnascarfan - Tom did do it, but it also took him a few tries at home before he did it in Sweden. And if i'm correct, I think it was an accident in Sweden, not on purpose. Cam McQueen was the first guy with the BALLS to actually try it in a show for points.

I think the logic behind him not winning is if you erase the back flip and look at his run without it, it was pretty basic just a wow moment, Koehler was fast pace and couple saves, shows that just a back flip will not win it for ya, you need a full solid run fast pace and saves. Like if Son uva digger was in competition here he probably would have won regardless of doing the back flip.

@gamer6996 I think the Judges have learned from the past that a Run isn't won by the fact of one special Move alone. That stopped ever since El Toro/Madusa/Max D were Co. Champs. No bashing on Madusa but her biggest move was knocking Bounty Hunter off the the trailer, flipping over and running before being shut completely down. If Nitro Circus did the Backflip and kept a powerful Momentum Like Sonuva Digger (Pure Potential to have won too.), would've been the new Freestyle Champ I say.

Hey, How are you? You got a good view on the whole thing. My family and I were sitting in the middle all the way on top. Had some jackass screaming "You can do better" on almost every truck.
