i do think it really is a bad move for the production to kill her character in avatar since most of the people who went to see it are Sigourney Weaver fans... i just knew it bc when we walked out of the cinema when the movie was over. i can hear many people expressing their disappointment that her character died. i think the 2nd movie aint gonna be so interesting anymore without her if ever there's going to be a sequel.

It was just Grace Augustine's body that died. Her mind lives on in Pandora, the planet with a mind. I don't think they would have spent those valuable screen minutes on showing Grace being transferred into the trees without the intent to keep using the character.

But yeah, it was disappointing that many good characters got killed off. Trudy, Grace, Tsu'tey, Eluyktan ... even Quaritch.

Sigourney Weaver is really one of the greatest actresses of our time! She is so talented and besides she is so likeable and still looks so stunning. Apart from that I think it´s amazing that she doesn´t care about her age and that she doesn´t mind talking about it, that became very rare, especially in Hollywood. Thumbs up for her!
