They're so hygienic :) my school's primary wing started this oral-care trend, and it's just so cute to see 1st to 6th graders carrying around their toothbrushes around after lunchtime xD

I don't know whether it would rub off on us highschoolers though :p

I can never brush my teeth at school. The bathrooms are old and disgusting ._. there's a faucet that, once you turn it on, it takes over 5 minutes to turn off (those ones where you push down and it runs the water for a limited amount of time, usually 15-30 seconds).

LOL this is one thing that i noticed when i moved from Asia to Canada. Back in Asia, everyone brushed their teeth after eating lunch, but back here, the only people that do that are the ones with braces. And some are even teased for doing so~

I'm a high school student in Korea, and I think the reason all of us have toothbrush in school is because most of us stay in school until late. Most students who want to go to university after high school stay late in school to study. And that means we also have dinner at school. So we definitely need toothbrushes :)

Some people here are just exaggerating. My school bathrooms were pretty clean. These kids practically clean the whole school themselves. Students are also respectful enough to keep it that way. Now about brushing your teeth, I don't find it really amazing. I have friends who do it and no one makes fun of them for being clean. If you want to, then do it. If not you're just saying that to look clean. I admit I only floss after lunch and pop some mints, but because I only get 20 min lunch breaks.

I think it's cool how they show all these simple videos of Korea. It usually shows how different it is compared to where you or I live. You can brush your teeth? Marvelous! We tried it in elementary school one year but it didn't work out with only one sink in each classroom and also because this is a private thing in europe. You don't wash yourself just like that in front of your friends. But some should brush often. Back then neighbour, a straight A student, had a horrible breath cause he ate those sugared choco pops for breakfast after brushing.

But apparently you shouldn't brush for 30 minutes after eating due to aciditiy.

@Saann00 The tooth brush actually says: 마 티 나 'Ma Thi Na'. In Korea R and L are literally the same letter in the hangul alphabet, so if you added the R the Koreans would pronounce it as L: 말 티 나 'Mal Ti Na', so 마 티 나 'Ma Thi Na' is the closest your going to get to Martina.

ㅌ is definitely closest to the T sound, and it is the T sound in romanization. I guess you're Japanese, there's no actual Korean letter that represents Th. that's why a lot of Koreans have trouble learning the pronunciation when learning English.
