In response to people asking about any sex in the movie. No, there can't be any sex per se, *warning, spoiler alert* The girl, is not a girl, she is a boy who was castrated by the vampire who turned him.

This movie is not about sex, or a romantic relationship, but about isolation, loneliness and how the promise of friendship and companionship changes a person's life. BTW, great song.

In the book the (Oskar was attracted to Elie at first when he thought she was a girl. But after he found out "she" used to be a dude 200 years ago...he had to take some time off to ponder the implications of being in love with a transexual vampire

first saw this movie a few years ago on youtube.. went on amazon immediately and bought the dvd.. for anyone that has netflix, this is currently on instant queue.. do yourself a favor and watch it... i saw the remake when it came out.. and it was good, but it just doesnt get any better than LTROI

By the way this film made me cry severely. It made me think of all the happiness in the world, for a second I was no longer concerned about anything. No other film has had such an impact. I'm investing in a 1080p project with 1 chair, and a Blu-ray player just to watch this in the most complete clarity. This never hit Aussie cinemas because we've stupid cinemas only interested in films stupid people could understand (No offense to anyone specifically but to them it's about money). Love this.

yes it did, it came out in 2008 the book it's based off of came out BEFORE twilight.

the book is great and the movie is a work of art. it stays with you for days after watching it.

The movie "Let Me In" is not a remake but only Matt Reeves portrayal of the book. According to John Ajvide Lindqvist the U.S. version goes deeper into the book than the Swedish version.
