  • no good running, crocs can run as fast as race horses over short distance, you can't outrun a croc, but you can outrun your mate.

  • u go for the eyes if your attacked by croc or any animal

  • @alanheath

You have a habit of dying on the last one or two words per sentence.

It is those last word(s) that are the most important, if your listeners are going to understand your point.

  • I don't know if the rules of surviving a croc attack are the same, but 30 years ago, I was told that crocodiles would usually drown their victim, then take it to their lair. And a person's best chance was to play dead, if one could do that while one's neck is in a vise, and then get away on land, where one would have an excellent chance, once dragged there.

  • @drystyx It would be rather hard to play dead in the circumstances though I imagine!

  • @alanheath lol, yeah, that's the trick.Probably some times you could, some times you couldn't. Then you're in a world of hurt. Probably nothing you can control.

  • @drystyx Play dead? Are you an idiot or what? Croc eats carrion as well. Staying quiet might help to keep you undetected but once the croc has smell or spotted you. Run as fast as you can.

  • @skooma392 Funny how prejudice you are about an entire population of people. Its ok though, come to America where we will teach you to keep an open mind about all colors, races, ethnicity, ect. :)

  • @skooma392 fuckyou you dont know shit

  • @skooma392 One can't please everyone unfortunately!

  • @rocknrollbigmac Last year sharks killed 3 people

    coconuts killed 5

    nuff said

  • The escape figures are wishful thinking propoganda. Had 500 escaped (which would have been near impossible in the circumstances), they would have easily regrouped and made propoganda of it immeidiately, much like the evacuation of the Allies at Dunkirk. When you speak of sneaking through the cracks, you're speaking more in terms of a dozen or two. But modern people can't handle the truth of a Japanese disaster.

  • Thats not true the salt water croc is a friendly caring animal, i recomend them for pets, so sweet they are.

  • @DR1ZERO I used to have a labrador but I have now got a couple of crocodiles. They make much better pets. Always happy to see me when I come back from work, they jump up and lick my face before running around the garden with happiness. The other day, they ate my eldest son but he had got bad marks in maths at school so he probably deserved it!

  • @alanheath I knew it, i was right all along (^.^ )

  • @alanheath I like how you say you "used to have a labrador"

  • @theoneandonlygrod You know how it is with jealous pets ... once I got the crocodiles they used to fight with each other.....!!

  • @DR1ZERO its amazing how we can tell if someone is a native speaker or from our country by reading one sentence. You are definatly not american nor english. You could be a scott. based on the "so sweet they are" or a western european. I cant tell where from though.

  • @meronmotors I wanted to sound Irish/Scottish, but im really Portuguese : )

    Regards

  • @DR1ZERO I'd keep one as a pet just like Russell Simmons, on the other hand no their some very agressive predators.

  • This figure is highly disputed. When the British eventually moved in on the swamp, they found that of the nine hundred troops that originally fled into the swamp (not a thousand), only around twenty seriously wounded and weakened Japanese soldiers were captured. In all, about 500 Japanese soldiers escaped from Ramree despite the intense blockade instituted to stop them.

  • @tvjcout That is, I think, a fair assessment!

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahha I loved it when the Japanese military (back then, certainly not now) sustained casualties!!!! WAHOO!!!!

  • no1 cares fck u video maker

  • 00:42 you can see british sailors doing what they do best. Seducing and buggering young boys.

  • @MrSheissen1

seducing implies it was consensual LOL

  • Huh? Over three-quarters of the "British" soldiers were Indian colonials. Let's give credit where it is due. Namaste.

  • were are the 1000 japanese soldiers being eaten by the crocs?!!

  • @kieferkippy I would imagine that today you might have some difficulty finding them.

  • @alanheath lmao

  • @kieferkippy Not all were eaten by crocs. Only some were. But only 20 survivors were left from the 1000 soldiers. Most died of tropical diseases, starvation or being shot by the Royal troops.

  • A saltwater crocodile is not the most dagerous crocodile (NILE CROC). Though it is the biggest i dont see any higher killing ratings as the nile crocodile has.

  • @palkia504 Possibly because its habitat is more densely populated with people who need access to fresh water whereas people do not need access to salt water. However maybe the Nile crocodile is more aggressive - I do not know.

  • @alanheath Most large saltwater crocs live in fresh water and I think you will find it is more to do with ppl is saltwater croc areas using tap water... most croc attacks her are not reported, as in no1 saw it and no1 lived. there is a town near here were ppl go missing next to the river from time to time and it isn't labelled a croc attack tho there are crocs in the river.

  • @palkia504 If hypothetically a person was attacked by a saltwater croc or a nile croc, they would be more likely to survive an attack from a nile croc. In that sense a saltwater croc is more dangerous. Much bigger, stronger, more pressure in their jaw etc. Nile crocs death count is due to hardly any warnings being heeded by people entering a nile crocs habitat

  • @goulter1985 If a person was attacked by a 16 foot Nile crocodile or a 16 foot saltwater crocodile. That person would have more of a chance of surviving the attack of a saltwater crocodile. It is already been proven at equal lengths the Nile crocodile is slightly heavier and generates a significantly stronger bite force. They hunt larger prey more frequently than a salty making Nile's more professionalized at killing it's large victims.

  • love the title

  • this is some lie, there is no proof something like this ever happened

  • @1Patrioti Yes there is.

  • @1Patrioti Go and read some history child.

  • @1Patrioti yes, this was a well known fact up to about 30 years ago, and widely discussed. I was wondering when it would resurface. It did happen. Most bodies weren't produced, but of course that was to be expected. Did a few slip throughthe cracks? Probably, but it was still a massacre.

  • ✖✖✖ youtube search: DOG ATTACK ALLIGATOR - AMAZING!!!

  • This is true, the besieging garrison was witness to this night of terror, soliders were pulled out of the mangrove trees they had climbed to try and escape.

  • Very interesting and tragic. Nice history lesson, I guess no-one really knows what exactly happened but by British accounts many Japanese soldiers were slaughtered by crocodiles during the night. Don't mess with salties!

  • Boring!!!!!

  • no video?? fuckin boring!!!

  • you just talk

  • because your shot and dumped in a swamp dosent mean a crocodilian did it and as the other guy said alligators ?

  • The Marines did everything against japan

  • ESSE SIM É O VERDADEIRO INFERNO..

  • 579,000 AFRICAN SLAVES WERE FEED TO ALLIGATORS IN GAMBIA

  • @PHILLYDEMOCRAT That must have taken some doing - there are no alligators in Africa!

  • @alanheath Ever Heard Of An African Freshwater Alligator You Dickhead

  • @Str8FromDaPsychoWard I suspect you may have some kind of an anger problem which may need attention judging by your use of language. There are two species of alligator - the Chinese and American alligators. Therefore I assume:

    1. You know of a species I do not

    2. You discovered a species yourself.

    3. You made it up.

  • @Str8FromDaPsychoWard NO SEEING THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING FUCKING ASS CLOWNS GRAB SOME KNOWLEDGE INSTEAD OF THE PIPE

  • @PHILLYDEMOCRAT There are no alligators in Gambia. Unless someone imported American or Chinese alligators to Gambia specifically to eat slaves. Which seems unlikely. You probably meant crocodiles.

  • @PHILLYDEMOCRAT Ahh the perfect crime.. no evidence at all to prove it

  • @PHILLYDEMOCRAT A lie.

  • @PHILLYDEMOCRAT NO IT WAS 579,000 AND 1.

  • @PHILLYDEMOCRAT What A Fucking Idiot

  • JAPANESE BEEN GETTING FUCKED UP BY CROCOLDILES ,AMERICA NUKED THEM JAPANESE ALSO

  • Good story, it sounds similar to the 800 US soldiers who died from shark attacks in the phillipene sea after the sinking of the USS Indianapolis

  • @Z0MBREX only 14 people died from shark attacks when the indianapolis sank, the 800 figure is from captain quints quote in 'JAWS' . even 14 is suspect, as many people drowned they were then scavenged upon by sharks.

  • 1000 japanese rapists & war criminals turned into croc fodder all in the name of the emperor. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of fellows!!!

  • @kiwimendor mate they where just ordered an were not allowed to say no to the army

  • @darkmysterii all orders from officers are to be treated as an order from the emperor, yeah I know, but end of the day after everything I've read about what japanese forces did during the war I've got not one ounce of pity for them. The fact that the first train to use the Thai Burma death railway has a place of honour at the Yasukuni shrine makes my blood boil. What they did should never be forgotten

  • I would argue that although the Nile Crocodile is slightly smaller then the salty, then are in fact superior predators.

  • I'd pay to wtahc you try to out run a croc in a swamp.

  • like history, but mate a croc cant out run a human unless we are talking about a 1m dash out of water (if ur up a tree climb down smile and wave and walk/jog away). anyways interesting story be nice if there were some japanese accounts too.

  • @BlackBird10111 Good points but remember this is taking place in a swamp and in the dark. Salt water crocodiles can put on a sudden burst of speed to about 15km/h I believe which may be sufficient to get ahold of a heavy laden and tired soldier.

However I agree that there is not enough evidence to suggest that huge numbers of people were killed by crocs although undoubtedly some were.

  • @alanheath Yea thats true

  • @BlackBird10111 acturly crocs can run uo to 55 mph on land its been proven

  • @BlackBird10111 Crocs can go into low-metabolism mode and stand guard at the base of a tree for weeks. So hiding in a tree would not be an optimal strategy for escaping saltwater crocs without avoiding starvation.

  • BBC is a bunch of inbred butt-wipes; It supported the Nazis of Germany throughout the initial stages of WW II when they thought Europe will be ruled from Berlin... They quickly switched alligiance and started supporting the allies of America, when America came to save their filthy little asses... They then gleefully encouraged US to nuke Japan... Today, BBC loves Islamic terrorists and their Chine commie masters, as can be seen from how they grovel like poodles in front of China...

  • No one has rights, we only have priviliges. Rights can't exist without humanity and humanity has left this planet a looooong time ago... and so has God. I truly believe that.

  • Horrible narraration. Bless your heart. lol

  • tl;dl

  • @alanheath from a biological perspective the point of living is reproduction, maybe with humans it's love.. & reproduction..? Cool video, I've heard of many war attrocities especially WW2 but never heard of this.

  • @buddhabassist Good point. I have a lot of films from WW2 on my channel but they are all from Europe from battlefields and sites of Nazi atrocities which may be of interest.

  • @shakeri84 Their range has been very much reduced over the past sixty years or so and they are only really thriving in Australia where they are protected. In Burma, for example, they were close to local extinction not so long ago.

  • @shakeri84 I suspect that they may have been something other than crocodiles off the Japanese coast but they are excellent swimmers and it is theoretically possible.

  • the commentor fucken sucks... he has such a bad accent...

  • @ntxhw301 I am sure yours is much better.

  • @cashman156 Yes, I am sure it is nowhere near as good as your videos.

  • @alanheath3 ...Soz, had been on the beer, was looking for some instant gratification / gore etc I'm sure many out there find this interesting. My vids? well, they are nothing more than video snapshots. No offence intended.... and a clean up to follow !!

  • @cashman156 Never mind. People who post videos have to expect abuse.

  • Once mywife and me, we made holiday on Havelock island un the andamans. One day, we went on a day trip across the island to Radhanagar beach. It was a 2 hour walk through the rainforest. When we arrived at Radhanagar, there was nothing there, no people. The beach didnt have a coral reef. We were boths full of sweat so we jumped into the water.Suddenly I saw a huge shadow a few yards away and I went outside the water inmediatly. Then I called my wife out of the water. She saw from my face that I .

  • contd. that i was dead serious and not joking. The beach was bordered to the left by a manrgove swamp. Anyway, I thought the shadow was a shark, actually, but what was odd, that it didn't move at all. After that, we went back to the other side of Havelock. & years later, an Australian woman was killed & eaten on that very spot by a six meter saltwater crocodile. When I went into that water, I was on edge inmediatly. I guess I felt that danger. I never felt that on the other side of the island.

  • tremendo!

  • so where is the killing??

  • I thought it was an interesting true story. It must have been horrible to witness such a thing.

  • @maxxrexx I will give that a try.

  • stupid and unreliable. narator doesnt seem to have knowledge about this

  • @Putu13 Yes, I am sure you know far more than I do. As well as being more reliable also.

  • @Putu13 I love it when the U.K. poster puts you idiots in your place. My mom was born in the U.K. and she puts me in my place all the time. At the least you could share some of your wisdom with us. I am sure you are so experienced in this subject. Or the subject of having a low I.Q. What cave were you educated in?

  • @coolradbastard in dumb U.K. cave

  • @coolradbastard lol what stupid place were u put in?

  • fucking monkey

  • hell on earth right there

  • too bad this form of 'biological warfare' couldn't be used to free the Burmese from their oppressive junta.

  • @shipmaker14 Unfortunately there are not many crocodiles left in Burma today!

  • fake and gay.

  • @dcskatersdvs No I have read about this, it did happen, the british solders out side the swamp said the screams of the solders being attacked and eaten was terrable.

  • 3 June 2010 - first film to reach over 900k views.

  • they can actually reach 6m and very rarely 7m

  • @UnacceptableHumour I dont think a 7m specimen has ever been found!

  • @alanheath There has actually been reports of crocs up to 10m long, although it's not likely to be true, but in Australia there are many reports of crocs over 7 and sometimes even 8 metres.

  • @dicksonmeister1992 I don't think they have been actually measured though at that size.

  • @dicksonmeister1992 If a predatory animal,particularly a reptile,has no predators,a huge territory,&constant food supply,it won't stop growing.&crocs can live to be 200yrs.old.Look @ Gustave.

  • you sound liek you're drunk x.x "Crocodiles can grow up to 5 meters long. THE SALTWATER CROCODILE. is. very dangerous"

i like it :3 this is a very interesting documentary

  • thats why if ur in a swamp keep a bright flashlight and a big ass gun hehe
