I served on the USS Turner Joy TAD during Vietnam sometime after the Tonkin Gulf incident and NO ONE I met believed they were attacked in Aug, '64 which LBJ used as the excuse to official start the War in Vietnam. Even Robert McNamara and the US Navy have now admitted that the alleged attack on the Turner Joy and the Maddox...NEVER HAPPENED. Sure sounds like WMDs to me.
