  • @Craig123Jesus 6/3/2/ and I did use the divider. as for the stand I could'nt wait to listen to it run through the mufflers.

  • these had a 8 inch rear axle in them originally right?

  • @ralphp1800 7 1/4" for the 6 and 8" for the v8

  • I have a couple of questions.....first off, the most important, what kind of numbers are you running? Also, I've heard the aluminum cylinder head from Classic Inlines gives these sixers 40+ horsepower from stock....is that true?

  • @corvettels9 I am running around 165 hp maybe a little more. the CI head is good for 40 hp with a potential for 200 plus hp with a mild cam and header.

  • @chsalabama111 I see. A couple more questions.....how's it on gas? after you did all of your mods, did you notice an improvement in gas mileage, or did it go down? Also, what does the 165 HP feel like.....as in do you think it's enough for the car?

  • @corvettels9 I have not checked mileage since it is a weekend car. mileage should be the same or slightly better as long as you are easy on the throttle.according to the original road test data from several sources both 0 to 60 times and top speed are faster than the factory optioned v8 4 speed for that year(260 v8).the six runs strong for its size but its not a hot rod.If you want a hot rod go with a 302 or 331 stroker.

  • @chsalabama111 Yeah....I wasn't actually going for a hotrod type thing....I was thinking about like a '70 or a '71 Maverick with a 200, to build into a daily driver with some power. I like the 200's because I'm looking for reliability, and I heard these 7 bolt main 200's were indestructible.

  • Man, that thing sounds awesome! How do you have your headers set up? Is it a 4-2 split? I've they used to do this back in the 60's, but I've never seen or heard it.

Great sound! BTW, I LOVE the stand for the left side muffler! Looks like something I would do, and I have in fact!

  • What mufflers are you runnin / Sounds great!

  • @soooop2 2" thrush turbos

  • What kind of webers are you running? I'm in the process of building up my 200ci for my falcon and love the set up you have going. Thanks.

  • @EzColeWhee I am running 3 weber 34 ICHs on an offy intake

  • hey there, im just wondering about the cam you've chosen. what is the lobe centre on it? and did you have to use a high stall converter in the C4 or was the stock one ok?

    cheers

  • the cam is a comp cams 260-h 212 degrees @ .050 / .440 lift with 110degree lobe centerline. this cam has worked very well with the stock converter.

  • what trans are you runnin and what gear in the rear ratio?

  • c/4 trans with the original 7 1/4" rear end and 3.20 gear ratio.

  • Thanks i had a 62 ford falcon futura when i was a kid found another one just recently i also am keeping my six adding headers and a double barrel but has original 2 speed ford o matic putting in a c4 not sure how the rear is geard on my 62 do you know wear too look ?plus adding dui yours sounds great man

  • on a six cylinder rear end ( one with the removable cover) the tag should be attached to one of the top bolts. the gear ratio is on the second line.

  • man that sounds awesome

  • 12 years of sitting? Well, good deal getting it up and out.

  • Sounds awesome!

  • Sounds Throatty, Sounds good...

  • Sounds great!

  • thanks, I almost went with flowmaster 40s. I am very pleased with the sound of the thrush turbos

  • Cool!

  • people have said my '65 straight 6 sounds like a 289 with a flowmaster 40 and a stock manifold on it, this thing sounds awesome, 5 stars....can't wait for the clifford dual outlets like this!

  • Thanks for the comment. I have heard a few with the header and 40s they sound like a built smallblock at idle.

  • Man that thing has a nice rumble to it.

  • thanks for the comments

  • i put a turbo on my 200 and it died.

  • Which mufflers did u use?

  • 2" thrush turbos. most auto parts stores carry them. cost about $25.00 a piece.

  • ford six's sound the best with headers
