  • im him reincarnated

  • i appreciate your love for Vincent van Gogh but photoshop is obscene when applied to a real painting. Sorry but impasto, which Vincent practiced, is out of your reach.

  • Loved the video, thanks!

  • Looks just like Kirk Douglas.

  • really amazing , great job!

  • I think this is beautiful.

    SURE, it's copying the original.

But does it still not take any skill to recreate something so amazing??

Isn't the image produced here still amazing? How many of you complainers out there can do what this artist did? Exactly. Not a lot. Congratulations to this artist, for exploring art through the recreation of masterpieces through new technology. I applaud you for thinking outside the box, despite what these old jerks have to say.

    Your work is beautiful.

  • stunning!

  • 我喜欢梵高!他是我最喜欢的艺术家。

  • Van Gogh would also Shoot you if he found out you did this in 6 Hours.

  • wow!! great job

  • Nice different style. What dimensions do you paint on?

  • Great artists have always used the most up to date technologies to help them express and achieve their aim, so surely digital art likewise, should be pushed until it also becomes a way of breaking new boundaries in technique. Although this particular drawing of Gogh is pretty naf, tune sucks also

  • can you make one speedpainting video with comments about the purpose of what is done (techique and so on).

  • And the point is?

  • My favorite painter!

  • cause copying the masters has no importance in art and doesnt help improve yourself as an artist at all.

  • Copying the masters does have importance. If you do a little research, by reading up on the history of the masters, you'll find they actually copied each other's works. Great painters from Turner to Ingres, Impressionists from Manet to Degas, and modernists like Chagall and Giacometti. You have to copy and recopy the masters, Degas insisted, and its only after having proved oneself as a good copyist that you can reasonably try to do a still life of a radish.

  • Yea I guess that's the response I expected to get. 6 thumbs down, awesome!

  • why is everyone thumbs down at him?

  • This is a trick. This an existing painting.

  • What do you mean by that?

  • Nicely done.

  • M2345MB

    Pretty impressive

  • amazing! you really captured his style

  • Nicely done. If only Vincent could see this.

  • nah, I like the original!! the one with the strokes that tell u everythign about the artist. the one that has the real oil on the canvas u know the REAL thing.

  • totally agree. this doesnt show anything new. vincent would be ashemed...

why dont someone would you his your skills on something original...

  • FEH this is not real art!

  • very impressive

  • van gogh's genius is in his use of line and color. any joe can paint something beautiful given enough time and layers of paint - but van gogh's choice of line to create both shape, shadow and movement it's astounding even today. his genius is often unappreciated if you ask me - which I suppose wouldn't be much different then when he lived.

  • its also his use of color, and how he just painted.

  • U and Vincent van gogh rule!!!

    Cool painting.XD

  • i used to do that , paint things upside down ,

  • it's easier don't you think?

  • depends on what i am painting but yes it is ok for start up sketching , i usually end up turn the canvas around after an hour ,

  • At first, I was negative because tracing is sort of like cheating. But this is actually a nice job.

  • This video is Awesome! Thank You very much.

  • WHOOOOOOOOOOO!! sorry. great painting and even better music! ;-D

  • hehe, hungarian music.. :)

nice pictures, i love all videos what you did

  • does anyone know where i can get a keygen for photoshop cs3?

i need one really bad and cannot find a single one. the program has been installed on my computer for like a year, locked though.

  • now see if you can paint something of your own in oil and sell it !

    ;-)

  • did u do this with a mouse, anyone know how to get this program.

  • PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What you said.

  • all i could read from what you writed was bla bla la la la bhe bhe bhe i have a small brain and im a cow lala

  • some ppl are more into digital rather then waisting time mixing paint when u can just grab them while the colors are already there and like the other person said yeah all i heard was blah blah blah blah blah blah complain..complain

  • Its not perfect but it is still it is extremely good. like the others all i heard was blah blah blah blah blah moan complain

  • Indeed its not perfect. In fact it looks like anything else then art. Thank god Van Gogh already did his dying. He surely wouldnt survive this one. Shamefull appearance.

Tip: try to visit a museum with real Van Goghs and I bet you find out what his meaning was with really fat layers of paint. You simply can't make a smooth digi VanGogh and say its extremely good. Then your awareness of art is zero. Anyone can copy paste, but making original art is the one and only reel deal.

  • terrific!

  • I really enjoyed it and thought it was very well done.

  • I like the different rendition of his portrait. Good job.

  • FANTASTICO!!,mis felicitaciones,eres muy bueno,un saludo de España ( Andalucia ).

  • Mein Gott. Amazing. I'm exhausted now!

  • Excellent mate....

How the fuck did u do it?

  • felicidades!!!

    =D

  • Wow you have great talent.

  • Wow

  • Really well done. I'm a Van Gogh specialist and you've done a beautiful job.

  • Very nice.

  • Hey,its Dick Tracey

  • y r u so damn gud? how old r u?

  • You can tell he's tracing, anyone can trace.

  • how do you mean trace?

  • not everyone can trace, trust me.

  • why did you post t upside down?? great work though 5 *

  • it is easier to copy a picture ahead. because you can concentrate on formal things.

and my old teacher was georg baselitz (berlin, udk). so it is a little kind of tribute ;)

  • how long did you paint this?

  • 6 hours. 3 for the first part, 3 for the free repaint.

  • i love it!

  • don't cut of your ear?

it is amazing this painting... dank u wel=danke?

  • Großartig. Haben sie wirklich zu Beginn kopfüber gezeichnet?

  • ja. das ist, wenn man etwas kopieren will, viel einfacher.

  • Painting a copy of the original was pretty cool, but you took it further and made it awesome. Good work.

  • GOOD WORK AS ALWAYS! KEEP UP DOING' GOOD ;) haha
