Hina Spani had the rare & priceless gift of being able to look beneath the surface

of an aria, role, or song & reach to the bedrock of the piece! She was Maria Callas

with better voice control. One need only to look at those serious, haunting eyes to

know she believed deeply in every word she sang. This performance goes far

beyond what has become an opera encore, but lives in the heart and rings in

the ears long after the performance has ended. Spani was a timeless immortal.
