  • This guy's voice is unbelievably awesome...perfect for this song, which is incredible and awesome and moving.... Jesus does save; praise Him

  • Powerful song about the most powerful Name man has ever known! Beautiful! All for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • God remains when all else fails. No matter what your beliefs, in the end when you take your last breath you were either right or wrong about who Jesus Christ is. If you were right in denying him nothing lost hope you enjoyed your life. If you were wrong there is no more Grace, that ends with your last breath. This song lifts up his Great Grace, his power to Save that which is lost. I pray you choose him now while you still have breath.

  • Praise jesus for saving so many souls

  • good song , god bless u brothers

  • The bible:

Says the earth is less than 10,000 years old (science from the Flintstones)

Supports slavery and stoning your child

Says the oldest man to live was Methuselah at 969 years old (Genesis 5:27)

Contains 10 commandments, most of which aren’t even laws...

Has a New Testament because the old one was “fucked up”

Was written by about 40 men over a period of about 1600 years

Religion does three things quite effectively: divides people, controls people, deludes people.

  • Glory be to God !! ....I couldn't stop watching this song over and over again !!

  • Download the audio from this song at searchripgrab doht cohm.

  • Let's take the whole word of God seriously and not read it selectively.

    Judges 4 & 5 comes to mind:

'Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time. She held court.. and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes settled.'

chpt 5: 'On that day Deborah and Barak, son of Abinoam, sang this song:

Hear this you kings!Listen you rulers! I will sing to the Lord, I will sing; ' the Israelites won a great victory under her, God seems to have been ok with it!

  • Am I the only one who was expecting Slayer when clicking this? I hope not.

  • Here it is almost a year from when this was posted. So sad to see that some people definitely do not know what Jesus did and how his Agape Love was for all.... Did not a woman see His risen body first!! Did not the angel (Jesus of course) say now go and tell my disciples!!! Jesus definitely did not say, now don't usurp the leadership or teach the men. He commanded her to Go and Tell!!!!!

  • @4godcm Love has nothing to do with any of this and I am not trying to degrade the role of women. If you would read more carefully what I am trying to say from 1 timothy you would see I am talking in the context of worship. The fact is all I am doing is quoting a scripture to which no one can return with a scriptural reference. I warn you to read and study because your soul will be judged and you will have to give and answere. I advise you that you make the right choice that God wants you to.

  • umm...good googaly moogaly this is amazing. Anyone have any idea if this exact arrangement is out there? I have an arrangement by Moffitt and Cottrell which is good, but not this good. I wonder if Northland orchestrated this version?? Praise the Lord, Jesus Saves!

  • It is a thrill to see Godly men and women sing praises to The Lamb That Was Slain. This is a beautiful hymn that expresses his sacrifice on our behalf and as far as I'm concerned one of the best that I have heard in the contemporary style. Thanks for posting it as I have never heard it until recently.

  • Dear Paden. Ignorant is it? It seems you can't read as you change the words "usurp authority" to lead. The verse is in the context of teaching and thus having authority over men. It does not say anything about singing. You equate your interpretation as the very Word of God. The Pharisees did the same and Christ condemned them for making His word of non-effect. Straining at a gnat?!

  • @TheMessiahYeshua First, please hit reply to my comment next time so I will get your message. I saw it because someone else replied. Now if we want to get down to it send me a message so we can realy talk. The fact is that verse specificaly rejects women teaching over men but it genericaly rejects the entire idea of women surpassing the authority of men. Notice a few verses before prayer is talked about. The whole theme of the chapter is the differnt roles of men and women. Please get back to me

  • It seems if memory serves me right 1 timothy chapter 2 had something to say about women leading worship and going above the authority of man. I wonder if those women on stage there ever read that passage in there bible.

There probably to busy practicing for there show they missed it. I hope they read it some time and get down.

  • @paden981

The admonition is that Paul suffered not a woman to "teach": nor to "usurp authority over the man". It says nothing about singing before the congregation. Dear sir, you are like the Pharisees who strained at a gnat and swallowed a camel. Can't you just enjoy the music? When the host of heaven gather to sing praises to the Lamb, "Worthy is the lamb that was slain" do you suppose that women won't be there. You are a very sorry man indeed. Perhaps you should just enjoy the music.

  • @TheMessiahYeshua I only enjoy the music God enjoys. Now call me what you want I simply read my Bible and seek God's will and not my own. Now can you realy not understand the fact that a women on stage singing for an audience with a mic is taking a leadership role in leading the congregation? That becuase she is doing this with men in the congregation that she is usurping her authority over the men not on stage without mics? PLease lets be honest and not ignorant and just go with God words.

  • @paden981 it has nothing to do with authority. the women aren't directing the men to do anything. they are not pastoring over the congregation.. they are simply serving God by using the talents he blessed them with to lead the congregation (not audience) to worship God. I believe the passage is referring to the pastors of the church. In the long run, jesus died to save us from our sins so that we may have a relationship with God. We shouldn't get so concerned over stuff like this.

  • @wandy5454 God asks for those that will worship Him in truth and Spirit. I am not picking things out to make a big deal I am seeking to obey God and His word becasue it is the fina authority. So yes this is an uthority issue. Now you said so yourself they are leading and therefor you contradict what you just said. They have usurpd the authority of the man which is forbidden in 1 timothy 2:12. Now this passage alos makes refernce to prayer and to just the authority role. Please study this passage

  • @paden981 How is singing on stage ursuping authority? Why does the place they stand and the fact that they are singing into a mic mean anything different than if they were standing off the stage?

  • @wandy5454 The place where they are standing and where they are singing are not the issue here. The issue is the fact that they are placed on stage for the purpose of leading the congregation. Because this puts more emphasis on them in taking a leading role over men who are sitting in the congregation whitout a leading role rather a following role. The mics are same only they could sit in the audience and I would still have the same problem because not everyone has a mic. Please read 1 tim. ch 2

  • @paden981 You're splitting hairs on doctrine man. The way you speak makes it sound like women can't serve in the music ministries of their respective churches. Or can't sing a solo. Or play an instrument in an orchestra. Because I consider every member of a choir and every instrumentalist in an orchestra or band "leading the congregation in worship". According to you, women aren't ALLOWED to do any of this and I think you're taking the scripture in 1st Timothy way out of context.

  • @FlyingDrums Well please explain a little further how I am taking this scripture out of context. Also everything you just said is exactly what I am saying. If a women is in a orchestra and the man isnt(remind you this is worship) then she has moreauthority than him.

Btw, do some church history studying and you will see that pretty much every founder/leader of that denomination would have scoffed at what is seen in this video. *Spoiler* Instruments in worship, women leading, wernt there.

  • @paden981 Listen, I understand what a woman's role is in the church. But I disagree with you saying a woman can't participate along side men in choirs, orchestras, or praise teams. Our talents are gifts from God. And to stifle that just isn't right. I know MANY worship pastors and senior pastors who will disagree with you. Now I WILL agree with you that women have no place in senior staff/pastoral positions. But I'm not going to get into a theological debate on YouTube.

  • @paden981 Are you ALSO saying that women can't teach sunday school classes to kids if it includes little girls AND little boys? I mean honestly...where do we draw the line? What defines upholding a woman's place in the church versus complete oppression to the point of driving them out of church.

  • @FlyingDrums First off I am not debating nor am I hostile in any manner. I would be glad to discuss this over email or phone. Now to your question about sunday school class i will say no for several reasons. Number one there is scriptural authroity given to them to do so. Number two those are small children not saved yet so it would be fine.

Also please realize that just because we have a talent doesnt mean we can use it to worship God with. We need to worship Him in spirit and in truth.

  • love this. we're doing it tomorrow night at church.

  • I LOVE listening to this song :D

  • I heard this song for the first time in a traveling play called "The Thorn"!!! What a great worship song. If you need a perspective check just listen to the words of this song. Praise God!!! We love you Jesus thank you for the gift of salvation!!

  • Excellent video!

  • Jesus Saves, indeed.

  • Such a powerful song! All glory and praise be to the King of kings, and the Lord of lords!!!

  • I heard this song for the first time on Good Friday and Easter Sunday 2010, during "The Easter Song" play. Thanks for posting! Excellent version! :D

  • This is one of my new favorite songs! My mom got sheet music to it in a sampler packet, and our church is singing it today. We have a more traditional sound rather than contemporary, but either way, its a VERY powerful song! Btw, I like how the drums and violins add a sort of Celtic sound! :) Very cool!

  • I think God cares more about the heart than the clothes.

  • WOW, Tony DeRosa does such a superb job on this song. The chorus and orchestra that is behind him is great too. Really touches me...amazing

  • MIMIPAT49

this is a good point you bring up. some places are meant to be holy and sacred. if we treat our santurarys just like every other place then they arent special and we as believers arent being reverant of the places that we meet with God. the definition of the word "holy" means to be set apart, or other not like the world. we cannot treat our santuraries like the rest of the world for we are only pilgrims in a foreign land and it is the holy places that need to be set apart of the world

  • I qam going to be singing this song on easter I can't wait wish me luck!

  • Absolutely the best version of this song I have heard! I was deeply touched and the singer is wonderful!

  • This song makes my heart glad. So encouraging!

  • Jesus Saves!!! Powerful spirit filled song, blesses me every time I hear it.

  • Simplesmente lindo d+

  • This is a wonderful, powerful, spiritual song. Sung beautifully. But I guess I am just old fashioned enough, that I would like to see the women dress with respect in the sanctuary. Capris and knee pants are for casual wear. It takes away from the song for me. I know I am probably one of a few. Oh, by the way, I am a woman and would never wear my pants or capris in the sanctuary.

  • Amen, girl!--Even when I wore pants as a young girl, my mother made me wear them under my dress. They should ask: WWJD ? for their spiritual nature and for safety too. jayn

  • ..great-

  • from the violin player, to the choir, to my favorite-- the singer!!! this performance is truly inspiring, touching, and a complete reflection of God. Keep it up! xoxo... from Miami, Fl I LOVE it!
