OH NOS! There's a small bag lost in space I assume it will just float around and eventually fall into the orbit of Jupiter er sumfin? Anyone know what the fate of this lost bag is? lol
Talk about trying to psychologically-condition the general publics view about this female astronauts mistake. So she assumed that it was attached! A bloke would not have made all these excuses or had them made for him. She panicked as a FEMALE and this is all being covered up along with the injustices of the female agender movement by governments and for space. This aims to demasculinate the space conquest, humanities future and our survival here on earth. Mankind needs to assess Misandry first
nevertheless "is she the bagwoman now!" aka fox.rxsczr here...now 15 trillion mind blowing drug monies for SPACE! The MILITARY!..and buddy 2 OMARrow we'll pay it all back into the black!...(buthowmuchmore)
who was that other woman astronaut that lost a camera too? 100k for a bag? i say it is coming out of her paycheck! and as for whoever forgot to secure the bag. that person shouldnt be allowed with in 100 miles of nasa. dumb asses.
If these tools were worth 100,000 bucks why did they just abandon them? They have a couple of Soyuz's attached to the station which could be undocked and used to chase down and retrieve the bag if they really wanted to.
All you morons saying things to the effect of "this is why you don't let woman [sic] in space (and one even added "or drive")" and "what was she doing out of the kitchen?" need to tell others how you managed to figure out how to operate a computer.
Now if it had a big CK or D&G on the bag, she would'nt have lost it no way. She would took it back inside the ISS and put it with her 40 pairs of shoes.
4,500,000 lbs is launch weight. Most of that doesn't make it to space. The shuttle gross weight is 240,000 lbs. At $1.5 billion to launch, the cost per lb to reach orbit is $6250. So $10k is a bit off. Numbers are funny. If one looks at cost per pound of shuttle cargo, $1.5 bil divided by 53,600 lbs capacity = $27,985 per pound. Going the other way, $1.5 bil divided by 4.5mill lbs = $333 per pound. What a swing! Or it cost $1.5 bil for the tools because that's the per mission cost.
Or better yet, how about these items lost in space Glove Spatula Rubbish Camera Toothbrush Pliers Nuclear Fuel A rocket A pen Bolts (as in nuts) Would anybody care to find out how much the nuclear fuel cost? And the gender that lost most of this? Yeah.
For God's sake...keep her away for the fucking steering wheel. I can just imagine her trying to stop off at a Sears store after reentry to buy some Craftsmen tools to replace the ones she lost.
Finally, the lost tools were specifically for this mission (to lubricate the grinding gears, also not her fault), and since the mission was accomplished completely, there is no more need for the $100K tools. It's not like NASA was going to return them to Sears and get their money back. So really, nothing was lost. Please have a good laugh over this and stop these endless stupid sexist comments. And don't miss my UPDATED version of this video with more cool footage! --Gary
People, people, CALM DOWN! This was not a "woman's mistake". The grease gun wasn't supposed to leak, that was NASA's fault. Believe me, you do not want gobs of grease floating around your toolbag and work area, even if you're not a woman. Also, the other spacewalker takes the blame for packing the small bag into the larger bag without a tether. (to be continued...)
She is such an incompetent idiot. We need money for education for our kids and she loses 100,000. we need $80,000 for repairs at the local elementary school that the school doesn't have and now they are going to shut the school down because they can't afford the furnace repairs and boiler repair.

This is the same lady who fainted after having returned home from another mission several years ago. Guess we can't say much for her coordination. Hehe. j/k Poor gal.
ATTN VIEWERS: I made an updated version of this video with more live footage, original sound (hear what Piper says when she loses the bag), and a closer look at the SAFER backpack. Just click "More From gdavisloop" to the right of the video, and you can't miss it! --Gary
Shit happens just thank god it wasn't a Astronaut you have to have a some balls to be outside to look down at earth. just look at some blue ray space videos.
Agree and just 'cause she carried it out don't mean she left the tether loose herself. Should have double checked to see. Maybe more than meets the eye. Kidding, of course, but stuff does happen and I think grease is still slick, even in space. How 'bout it ya'll negative slicks? Not you p4c017 Thanks.
