This is ME!! 96 mph: 5 stitches and a concussion. The helmet broke and sliced my head open. I was trying to charge the mound when my legs gave out. I just saw this for the first time.

I talked to this pitcher a few weeks later. He apologized, said he had trouble with his control and bought me a beer.

The batter after me is Paul Janish who now is the shortstop for the Cincinnati Reds.

If you can't throw a ball in the proper spot and hit a player in the head twice in a row he shouldn't be on the mound at all!

I doubt it was the ball bro. If anything it was the helmet. It probably broke from the impact of the ball and then the piece of helmet cut him up pretty good. A baseball couldn't cut his head like that.
