Probably, especially if you actually plan to pull off UBW (or you just liked the music). The only disadvantage I could think of would be the button combination (reflect only uses one button, so I'd think it'd be easier). Then again, looking at it again, it looks like the chant cancel actually has a short recovery time. So that would be a disadvantage, too...
ubw chant does work like a cancel, but combo wise you have to work with trying to time the button presses around the chant freeze. ubw chant MIGHT have slightly longer recovery time afterwards instead of the none a cancel has

Damn, that Archer really messed up alot of his combos and the very end. Is the UBW Chant and his Arrow Supers the same motion or something? I notice some players accidentally do a UBW chant instead of what would had seemed perfect for a arrow super.
Well, the time he did that in the vid, he was using it as a combo reset (chose it over a reflect cancel). You can't actually do the arrow supers unless you have the bow out. The only super available with the swords is Kansho/Bakuya Overedge (the one that needs to be blocked to work).
Still, the supers (all three) and the chant *are* one button away, since they're QCFQCF+(Weak for the supers, Medium for the chant, Strong for Unlimited Blade Dance). I can see someone messing that up.
i need to take it to round two to pull out UBW...coz my magic is insufficient on the 1st round coz i have to do all the *chanting*.
