To unlock him, you can either beat Subspace, which takes forever, or you can beat classic mode with 10 of any original character that DOES NOT need to be unlocked ( Any Difficulty!) or play 10 hours of VS brawl or you can play over 300 brawl matches. I say its a medium difficulty. It took me more than 8 hours time to beat. It gets a little harder as you go along, but its not brutal. I would watch out for the Great Maze level though. That level can be confusing.

There was a website before Brawl came out asking for some requested characters Sonic was the most requested so they let him in Crash and Spyro didn't get in cause they didn't requested enough, which means not alot of ppl like them anymore cause no games come out with them in it.
