Thanks Laura. A very nice compliment. The prior 'tinnyness' was probably due to the acoustics in a small, solid concrete room that I recorded in. That kind of room accentuates the bass. So when I eq'd out the bass, it ended up sounding 'thin' to everyone else. Make sense?
