Fact not fiction, Dan Quinn made one of the greatest stops in the history of Notre Dame defensive football. He was a weapon of mass destruction, he could have jets tattooed on the sides of his feet he was so fast. Fast enough to cover Allen Pinkett man for man, shut em down, yeah white boy.
Too bad Allen Pinkett didn't play at ND when Lou Holtz was there. Holtz came right after the end of Pinkett's last season in the winter of 1985. I would have loved to see Pinkett in Holtz's wishbone style offense. Just imagine Allen Pinkett playing on ND's 1988 national championship team.
besides being an excellent all purpose back he also had an extremely talented offensive line, He wasn't even touched on these runs. Perrino and Scannell were a big part of Pinkett's success.
I wonder if he remembers my family? doubt it thought because my grandmother died in 1998 and we haven't seen them since. but i never met the Pinketts. O and my parents met Darrell Green from the Redskins, he was in our house in like the late 80s early 90s because our neighbor up the street was like a manager for the redskins of something. and was throwing his a surprise party for some reason.
My grandmother was good friends with Allen Pinkett's mom. they were both bus drivers for Fairfax county in Virginia. When my older brother was born he got a gift from my grandmother which was 2 Allen Pinkett autographs. Allen grew up in
Sterling, Va which is where i live and he went to park view high school. The auto graphs are a card and a 5 by 7 photo that says "to Michael best wishes Allen Pinkett 20" which was when he was on the Huston Oilers and Michael is my brother.

I remember when ND was pretty good. Now all they worry about more are tv contracts and firing/hiring/firing/hiring coaches. They're pathetic. No one cares about ND anymore. After thoughts.
Then why do you care enough to comment on a 20+ year old TV clip...unless you actually care. If you really did not care, and ND was really irrelevant, then you would not comment at all. ND is gonna be back on top again, soon.

Allan Pinkett is one of the 3 or 4 greatest running backs in modern Notre Dame football. He was awesome.
