dude, even though you play it a little differently, i gotta give props for being thorough in your lesson. lots of teachers won't take the time to explain it like that and assume you can figure it out. thanks.
To put it in a nutshell (so to speak), I believe that what it is saying is that God is Love 1st of all. His love is never ending, never failing. His love is described as being like a strong river that...overflows. And it never fails to flow. that is how I would interpret it.
