@TheRomanticInterlude - Thanks so much-Johnny's voice here and on this whole CD- which I never tire of saying- is nothing short of masterful. You can 'feel' every note. Very glad you enjoyed it.
@Biceps318 - you're welcome- it's a counterpoint- both great - just different. continues to demonstrate Johnny's diversity and that certain depth within his voice that has emerged over time. Enjoy!
I haven't heard this version before, though JM's original version is still one of my all time favorites. The addition of the sax solo works so well. Thank you so much for sharing!
@Biceps318 - you're welcome- I shared it - as an 'addition to' the other- not to replace-. The reason this sounds different i believe - is the active collaboration of these artists- Johnny, Michel LeGrand and Marilyn and Alan Bergman- they were playing together- like instruments in an orchestra- and that's when the sweetness emerges- there is more emotion coming through here- which becomes part of the 'voice'. enjoy:)
This so beautiful it completely tears me apart. I'm sure this is exactly what we would all like to say to Johnny. Thank you so much Lenore for posting.
@flodigarry1 - My- thank you so very much. Yes, how true- and- as we all enjoy his music so much, so often, in our own ways, we 'are' spending our lives with him- he colors our lives and adds depth- hopefully he feel this right back in every concert. You're very welcome. Enjoy:)
simply lovely, charming... beautiful work my friend... too much work but worth it... what a voice... so sensible lyrics.... thanks so much, most of all, for becaming me a fan.... blessings

@RvHauler1 - you're welcome- so glad you're enjoying it- i've not heard The Mountain Man- i'll search for it- the Bergmans and Legrand are pure magic together- and add Johnny- wow- what a combination.
@ReadMeReadYou - Oh, thank you ~ much appreciated! What do we call these...??? "Labors of Love" ?! For sure. And, thank you for 'trading'. Bette Midler song again:) enjoy.

Thank you again. He is the best as many of us have said a 1000 times. Mr. LeGrand wrote the theme in The Moutain Man which I have enjoyed many times.
