Because he ferried the souls to the other world and didn't become evil like Davy Jones he only had to serve for ten years and is free to do whatever he pleases once the ten years are up. Also after the credits when the flying dutchman appears out of the water you see the flash of green - which lets you know that a soul has came back to the world

At first I thought I wouldn't like it because the song was a little too modern for my ideal Sparrabeth, but I warmed up to it and it got VERY strong towards the end. Excellent job, absolutely loved it!
